One thing that the modern Democratic Party does NOT enjoy doing is celebrating America - especially if that involves honoring the U.S. military!

Most liberal Dems agree with former San Francisco 49ers QB Colin Kaepernick, who actually pushed Nike into cancelling the release of a new American flag shoe, because Kaepernick says the "Betsy Ross flag" design from the American Revolution was all about preserving slavery (or some OTHER such stupidity!) Anyway, Nike went along with it because the liberals running that company share Kaepernick's dislike of the U.S.

President Trump enjoyed the military parade he witnessed in Paris during his last visit there, and decided he'd like to see that done here in the United States. MOST Americans would enjoy it, as well - but NOT the Democrats. People who dislike this country tend to dislike President Trump, whereas people who love America also seem to like & admire our president!

Case-in-point: U.S. women's World Cup soccer player Megan Rapinoe was ALSO busy kneeling down during our national anthem (until they made her stand-up), and then she made it clear that not ONLY does she not respect the United States, but she also doesn't respect President Trump! Again, people who hate America hate our president, but they're popular in Democratic Party circles because Dems share their dislike of this country!

The modern Democratic Party doesn't want to pay for a patriotic Fourth of July parade in Washington, D.C. - no, liberals would much rather our taxpayer dollars instead went to funding abortions (Planned Parenthood) and health care for those people crossing our borders illegally.

recreation fees primarily intended to improve parks across the country to
cover costs associated with President Trump’s Independence Day celebration
Thursday on the Mall

The diversion of the park fees represents just a fraction of the extra costs
the government faces as a result the event, which also includes expansive
displays of military hardware, flyovers by an array of jets including Air
Force One, the deployment of tanks on the Mall and an extended pyrotechnics
display. By comparison, according to former Park Service deputy director
Denis P. Galvin, the entire Fourth of July celebration on the Mall typically
costs the agency about $2 million.

By tapping entrance fees to cover the presidential event, Interior is
siphoning money that is typically used to enhance the visitor experience
either on the Mall or at smaller parks across the country, on projects
ranging from repairing roads and bridges to habitat restoration.
The transfer accounts to nearly 5 percent of the funds that less-
profitable parks tapped into last year for upgrades, according to
budget documents.

“This is a breach of trust with the public, said Theresa Pierno,
president and CEO of the National Parks Conservation Association,
in an email. “The public pays parks fees to fix national parks and for
educational programs not the president’s parade.”

You know as well as I do, Jack, that we DON'T hold military parades here in the U.S. to show-off our latest armor to impress our friends and/or intimidate our enemies (as happened in those old Soviet Union May Day parades) - everybody in the world already KNOWS that President Trump has increased the power of America's armed forces with the best weaponry ever imagined, and that these parades are for the enjoyment of the American PEOPLE!
