What happened is that my computer power supply went bye-bye (technical term) and I managed to get that fixed, at a local computer shop. However, when I got my computer back, the display was rotated 90 degrees to the right. The shop guy had no idea as to how to fix the problem. I nosed around the web for a bit and found out that CTRL-ALT-arrow ley should rotate the display back into vertical orientation. I tried CTRL-ALT-left arrow and the display rotated 180 degrees to display to the left. I then tried CTRL-ALT-right arrow and the display was again rotated 90 degrees to the right. I then tried CTRL-ALT-up arrow and the display rotated to vertical orientation, problem solved!

One of my workmates used to do this as a reminder to people to lock their computers when away from their desks.

Maybe you shoulda just rotated the monitor 90°… are you sure you put it back on the desk the right way?

How do you type with that skinny vertical keyboard?

"Dad, no, just no." Daughter rolls eyes…

I think it depends on the software drivers for the screem image.
It works on my laptop, tablets just whiz around to its hearts content, besides no alt key and only two arrow keys on screen keyboard.

Yeah, tablets, they have a which way is up sensor and switch the screen view so the top is always up. Same with most smart phones. :D

What I have...a highly modified Dell, which probably isn't really a Dell anymore. Almost everything inside is completely different from when I bought it.
