I’m curious about the makeup of my latest story’s composite rating, so I can determine whether it’s a mixture of high and low ratings or whether most of them are in a narrow range. Do you know if there’s a way to retrieve the individual ratings entered by the readers, that make up the composite number?

Thank you.

I don't think you can other than to just average them out which the site does for you.

Only way possible is if the story got so few votes that you can figure it out yourself as it went along.

Refresh compulsively and check the impact of individual votes as they come in, that's about it.

The individual votes are there, somewhere, in the database. They would have to be in order to get the average. The site just doesn't display them. There is no need as you just want to see them to average them out and the site already does that.

They also collect the IP address and the user name of the user posting the vote, which are used in the sweeps that are made to eliminate any duplicate votes.

The number you see is not really a composite, it is the real average of all votes.
