Compliments

She said, "Nahhhh, your just a 'lovable perv'. Wish she had said that when I was looking for a title under my name.

So change it! An email to Laurel is all it takes.

And it does feel good when you really know you are doing a good job at something, doesn't it? :)

Yes it is, but isn't it a shame that the only way to get some people to say anything is for something wrong to have to happen first?

I watched my 13 year old daughters fast pitch softball game the other day. She didn't have a good day batting but her position is catcher. If you don't know much about girls softball, you may not know it is a very demanding position to play and she loves it. She had a Great day that day defensivly, throwing out 2 girls who tried to steal on her and allowing very few passed balls even though the pitcher wasn't having a great day. Her coach recognized her effort by giving her the game ball that day. She was all smiles as she came from the dug-out to where I was standing, near her mother (my ex) and her step-father.

She ran up to her mother and said "Look, I got the game ball!!" and her mother said (I kid you not) "For what?"

Sorry, a little off topic but it's been bugging the shit out of me all week. Tell people when they do good work and share their joy when they share with you.

This was nice to hear/read:

"godnat min solstraale, Maa Maanen smile tl dig"

And being called someone's ray of sunshine doesn't happen often

Compliment #2 of the week that stuck with me

Being told I have beautiful blue eyes. I hear that one the most out of any compliments I've ever gotten, but it makes a difference who is saying it, too. ;)

Say Mistress, have Xander been teaching you a bit of Danish, or just called you that in Danish??

LOL! Actually he posted it to me awhile back and told me the meaning. Yet, he has taught me a bit of Danish, I think my favorite lesson was learning "Kysser din næse" Cause we all know how much I love that! :)

Grins brightly

I see he even thought you the codes to the danish letters huh?? lol

Hhehe, he just told me it needed a symbol, so I went to word and found the symbol it needed! ;)

jep min ven jeg har leart hende et par ting paa dansk. Hun spurgte selv. Og jjeg maa sige, hun er meget laere nem.

Hey! I think there's a rule someplace, I'm sure there is, that says any foreign language posted on a thread has to at least be translated for the benefit of the thread starter. It is in the manual you got when you registered... just have to find the page number...

LOL cheyenne.

Well there are several Danish translators ut there, knock ya self out ;)

Oh no, no, no. I'm SURE the rule is that the POSTER is responsible for the translation... just to make sure there aren't any small errors or misunderstandings... :)

OK ok Cheyenne

Yes my friend, I have taught her a few things in Danish. She asked herself.
And I must say that she is a fast learner

Professional life~ Got complimented on what a good job I am doing on the mall project I am working on and how well I have performed and gotten the job completed quite well under the circumstances and forces at work

Personal life~I would have to say that my parents and grandmothers and my sister have all told me what a good person I am and how proud of me they are for accomplishing what I have given alot of the tough situations I have been through in my life.

One of my best and most recent compliments was when a 17 year old female coworker told me that I look about 28 years old (I was 37 at the time).
