Here's one of the many plot bunnies I've had trouble keeping confined but can't find the time to write, so feel free to take it, pet it or kick it around
The subject is obviously an allusion to Hypoxia's recent "not enough endings" thread, as it reminded me to dig through that sturdy box with the seven locks where I keep my bunnies.
I've filed this one under lesbian, but there are probably enough hooks to make it work with any sexual orientation, as even the age difference may be enough to drive the inner conflict.
So here we go:
- The setup:
18 year old Angie and her stepmom Catherine are in a bit of a snit after Angie's father left for god knows where one dark and stormy night, and their regular shopping sprees have made a dent in the household budget so deep that it ate up the due rent. Too proud to borrow money from Angie's grandparents, they come up with a plan to make lots of money: lure somebody into a compromising situation, take pictures and blackmail them.
Through a drunk slip-up by one of Catherine's fuck buddies (a cop) they find the perfect victim for their ploy too: Jenna Batings, a 40 year old CEO whose company's biggest client is the catholic church and who - as the fuck buddy found out on bodyguard duty - has a hunger for girls in Angie's age group. Of course, Angie is a bit reluctant about the whole thing as she's never thought about girls that way, and they nearly blow the whole thing off, but when they meet Jenna at Sunday's mass and the business woman can't take her eyes away, Angie's too greedy to let the opportunity slip.
- The twists:
Jenna invites Angie over to her place for the next evening. It's summer, so Catherine slips inside the property in the morning and sets up a camera that takes a picture of the pool area every minute. In the evening, after much flirting, teasing and blushing, Angie coaxes Jenna outside, lets her strip her and they fool around a little near the pool before Angie pleads shyness and heads back home. Unfortunately, when Catherine retrieves the camera, she finds that the battery died just before the action started.
The "relationship" between Angie and Jenna of course goes on with escalating intensity, with Angie being torn between the ick-factor of girl-girl love she was raised with and the wonderful feelings the experienced Jenna brings alive, while the means of capturing the situation fail each time. One video has Jenna completely unrecognizable as it only shows her back and the audio's missing, another time a teenager spots the camera on the window sill and cycles away with it, the next time Jenna switches off the light, then the action happens in the shower instead of the bedroom... There are increasingly more moments where Angie talks about the encounters and slips up with dreamy sighs and misty eyes, but she keeps assuring Catherine that she's really only play-acting and making fun.
- The ending (or is it?)
Finally, they do manage to capture a video they can use and Catherine confronts Jenna, secure in the belief that they're now set for life, but Jenna surprises her with the confession that she's going to retire from her position shortly, a decision spurred on by having fallen in love with Angie and not wanting to hide her orientation any longer.
A big confrontation between Jenna and Angie (who has been waiting in the car) ensues, the whole scheme is laid bare and they part in shouts, tears and desparation all around.
Fast-forward a month. Angie rings Jenna's doorbell in the middle of the night. At first, Jenna is suspicious that Angie and her stepmother may have been kicked out, as she now knows about her former lover's financial problems. Instead, it turns out that Catherine inherited a lot of money from an uncle.
Angie confesses that she has fallen in love with Jenna too. She and Catherine had a falling-out when Angie told her this, as Catherine, despite being the one who came up with the whole idea and urging her stepdaughter to play her part, isn't comfortable with same-sex relationships.
(Insert happy, intense make up sex scene here with a flavor of your liking. If it includes a bare-bottom spanking, all the better...)
There's room for character growth, if you feel so inclined, like Angie starting out as a complete dunderhead with nothing but clothes and expensive clubs in her head who, despite being clever, has no higher ambition than waiting tables in a diner, then having her start to admire Jenna for her accomplishments and finally (between their spat and reunion) letting her get accepted the local college (with secret help from Jenna, who still harbored a lot of feelings).
