I haven't done anything in almost a year. I desperately want it back. Recently, for my husband's birthday, I made him a picture, and it felt so good to draw again! I....I need this in my life. *tear* Even if it means doing erotic pictures for people, I don't care! I MUST get my art back! Otherwise I feel dead inside....

That's a long time to not do something that is quite apparent you love desperately. Do what you must and I hope that you don't have to do too many drawings you distaste. I'm curious though, what do you have against drawing erotic images?

(I myself can understand how you wouldn't want to draw smut......simply sex shots, but there are ways to draw something, even sexual situations, that are quite artistic and take alot of talent.)

Remember keep your chin up and worse comes to worse, simply doodle for shits and giggles, instead of looking for a commission. I'll let you know if anything comes to mind by the way.

You're right about erotic drawings. I guess, I just expect people to ask for smut(I've been influenced by the people here; I automatically assumed that if I offered to do sexual pictures that smut or porn would be requested).

And there's a reason why I haven't done art in so long a time. I'm kind of paralyzed by lack of inspiration. Every time I sit down with a pad of paper and a pencil, I sit there for hours trying to think of something to put down. It just doesn't feel right for some reason.

But this last week I reconnected with something that I DO find very inspiring: a deadline. I waited until the last minute to draw the picture for my husband(which I WILL be scanning and uploading as soon as I can). He went to work on his birthday and I only had a few hours to make the drawing happen. I sat down and had it out, sketched, inked and colored, in 2 hours. And it's one of my best to boot.

I figure, if I can get people to give me ideas of what to draw and a time frame to do it in, I'll be creating artwork again. And....I won't have to be married to Death any more..... U_U

Well it's quite possible you've heard this before, but in case you haven't....you know you make an ass out of yUo and ME when you assume, right?

Well I can only venture you're just trying too damned hard. Just relax and let the art come to you as it does. Meanwhile if you're doing commissions and plan on getting paid, then being motivated by a timeline is a great tool to get work done, just don't worry about it too much.
