Commas are fun,,,

You can write me a letter anytime, Rhino. I'd happily give you my address. :) :rose:

fire away.

Though I must admit that the rumblings have not yet caused an eruption.
Currently thinking back wistfully.

Yep, I know what you mean. I sometimes miss those days of writing all letters by hand, but then I consider emails and know how much quicker and easier (not to mention less hassle) they are. Oh, and I noticed the other day, when I wrote a letter to my Nan, that I went to put a smilie in. LOL! I didn't, but I can just picture her face trying to work out what on earth it was. :D

i've been known to put "smilies" in,,, or SOME sorta illustrative mark.

Yes, but you're an artist; they'd actually look like illustrative marks. Mine would either look like an ink blot, or a brain fart.

I've been known to type out a letter to post by snail mail. Type as in ... using an old manual typewriter, not even an electric IBM with eraser tape...

Handwritten letters and notes are the best...that is, when you can actually read the script.

So what gender exactly are commas? They look like ponytails to me.

~ is my favorite.

Although, when I type posts, I do tend to use ... alot! I think I use that because I pause in my speaking.

I tend to write how I would speak. Which is why I never make sense.

But commas (, , ,) are cute. I do like the asterisk (*) and, have you noticed that most people have no idea that (&) is an ampersand?

amazing,,,,

I think commas looks like eyes winking

I gather that Tatelou is sending her address via snail mail.

Nopes, Tatelou (in her usual dis-organised, scatty and laid-back way) lost track of time. She looked up at the clock and realised it was time to go and pick up her girls from school. So she dashed out of the house and went to get them. She is now back, has fixed her girls a drink and snack and is just about to PM you. Then she really must bugger off for a while and get back to R/L again.

:p

looks a bit clitoresque to me,,, shrug,,, I suppose there is some similarity in form and function.

depends on the type of comma. Each font makes it look , , , different..
