At least some people remember the Wiccan mid-Winter celebration just took place on Dec. 21. They had the holiday FIRST, you guys and now look, no one says happy bonfire night or whtever it's called.

Any Pagans out there feeling ignored? Let us know what that holy day of Wicca is called. I remember "Beltane," but for some reason think that one's the Vernal Equinox, and anyhow that's just one regional term for the observance.

The "Christmas time" Sabbat is Yule. It falls on Dec. 22. It marks the rebirth of the Sun-God by the Virgin Goddess.

I had a lovely Yule, and seldom feel ignored or forgotten. I had a great Christmas with my family, too.

I really do hope that everyone is enjoying the season, however they celebrate it. Much better than divisiveness and hostility and hurt feelings.

Wil E. Harden? Any relation to Cement Wil Harden?

I'm sure there were midwinter festivals long before the pagans, if only to stay warm and cheery during the dark of December.
