You know - the one that turns red, blue, or orange and blurts out that stupid message "Computer alert! Computer alert!.......Do not turn off your computer...bla, bla bla........for assistance/help....call this # .............."

How many more of these old dinosaur type things are around? The FBI ones too?

Some of these are older than the internet itself.

Nice try though. Almost worked this time. I simply wasn't expecting something so old and outdated would still be kicking around.

How many hackers does this place have?

At some point, you have to realize that nobody else is having these issues. You've brought it up repeatedly, and nobody's chiming in with a me too. Even a brief perusal of the threads in this section will show you that if others were having this problem, they would have jumped all over the chance to scream about it with you.

Whatever you have, it's not coming from Lit.

Get Malwarebytes, clean your system, figure out what site is actually infecting your system, and stop going there.

Malwarebytes is free, non-crippled software with a long, proven track record. The commercial version simply adds live protection, which you probably want to accept the trial version of, because it will alert you when you're on whatever the bad site is, so you can stay away in the future. Then when the trial expires, you still have the on-demand cleaning if you slip up again.

Taken from Lit's homepage regarding spyware. The same goes for old-school viruses.

Exactly. Retired cop who did a second career as an IT professional. This place is clean as a whistle. He's either clicking on corrupted links or (and most likely) he has some malware deeply entrenched in his local machine.

It's done. Thanks. If you can, then pls close this thread. Thanks again for you're advice and recommendations. And putting me in my place. I overstepped my boundaries.:)

By way of some additional advice:

When visiting any questionable site ( Any porn site with videos, images, and any site with lots of ads ) Set your browser to not accept **********. I personally keep one browser set on maximum security with the NoScript add-on to use when I visit any site I'm unfamiliar with. I then only enable what is absolutely necessary to view the content I came there for.

Ads are the new favorite way to deliver malware, and can crop up even on relatively innocuous sites. If you let these sites run ********** or flash to play those ads, they can end up injecting bugs into your system.

Fortunately, Lit only has banner ads pointing to Lit branded portals for VOD, Live Nude Chat, and Adult Toys. Utilizing one of the ad services is what exposes an otherwise clean website to possibly malicious ads, and Lit doesn't have to worry about that.

If something pops up and attempting to close the window normally isn't possible ( because there is no X in the corner to close it, because it's disabled, or useless because the window opens right back up if you close it ) do NOT use any close button/link on the pop up.

Hit CTRL-ALT-DEL, bring up task manager, and close the offending window that way.

Really, any suspicious pop up should be closed this way, because even the X button could be a fake.

Forgot about the filter. The word behind the asterisks is:

J a v a s c r i p t.

Also, just closing your browser helps get rid of those pages/tabs. You might have to do it via the task manager as those pages do tend to disable the close button not only on the window, but the tab also and any exit menu items.
