I've discovered something I never wanted to know. Emergency rooms are quiet on Christmas Day, not at all like the E.R. on T.V.! LOL I walked in and was handled immediately, no wait time at all. At 8 am, everyone else must still have been opening their gifts at home.
I finally recognized the symptoms of strep throat about
1 am last night when I just couldn't swallow anymore. I swore I'd never be one of those idiots that went to an emergency room for something that their doc could handle, but there is nothing open on Christmas OTHER THAN the emergency room! After a night with little sleep, I gave in and went. So, my Christmas dinner this year will consist of penicillin, ice cream and juice. Of course, at least now there is little risk of over eating from the Christmas goodies!
Merry Christmas everyone- enjoy all those holiday feasts today for me. I'll be thinking about you.
