I've discovered something I never wanted to know. Emergency rooms are quiet on Christmas Day, not at all like the E.R. on T.V.! LOL I walked in and was handled immediately, no wait time at all. At 8 am, everyone else must still have been opening their gifts at home.

I finally recognized the symptoms of strep throat about
1 am last night when I just couldn't swallow anymore. I swore I'd never be one of those idiots that went to an emergency room for something that their doc could handle, but there is nothing open on Christmas OTHER THAN the emergency room! After a night with little sleep, I gave in and went. So, my Christmas dinner this year will consist of penicillin, ice cream and juice. Of course, at least now there is little risk of over eating from the Christmas goodies!

Merry Christmas everyone- enjoy all those holiday feasts today for me. I'll be thinking about you.

Cheyenne I hope you'll get a speedy recovery.

Now as for the holiday feast, you could just learn from us Danes, and have your meal on the evening of the 24th, instead of that crazy tradition with doing it on the 25th, geez crazy Americans!! ;) ;)

You know there aren't too many people in the ICU either. I think the only people there (other than the doctors and nurses) were like two peoples parents. You could hear a pin drop in the ICU-Cardiac ward. Heck I could have run around naked and no one would have noticed........I just came back and damn it was quiet there. The ER was quiet and people were jovial......they gave me a shot of penicilin too Cheyenne as I have the beginnings of something nasty starting myself....so don't think you are the Lone Ranger there...

ummmm....no way....you would have been pulled into the closest room and taken advantaged of

Ouch. At least they just made me swallow pills before I could leave, no shot. And Nitelight? You're only off the hook until tomorrow. They said I'm contagious until 24 hours after the first dose of antibiotics.

Well, I was the one who ask for the BIG dose of the stuff so it would make this crap-ola go away sooner. My butt hurts from that needle, that thing was HUGE.......but NO pain NO gain :)

Woooo, I see two people with the gabbolin' guck. Get off my computer you, you'll give it a virus.

*blows get well kisses and slips out*
