News item on my radio at 04.11 gmt. A couple of minutes ago.

One UN budget is short of $75,000,000 which means it will have to borrow from other budgets in order to pay salaries.

The biggest debtor to the UN is the USA with a total of $463,000,000 in unpaid bills. If this was happening in the commercial world I would have become very suspicious by now and probably would have started bankruptcy proceedings against you.

What is the problem? If you can't afford the money I'm sure the UN will agree to an easy payment plan.

The thing is that most of the other member states of the UN are paying their dues, it's only America that seems to have this arrogant, bullying attitude to anything it doesn't agree with.

Endless name calling and continually bashing one source and blaming it for all evil does get a bit pointless. It would be better if we were to examine all the evidence and lay blame in a more accurate fashion and suggest possible means for correcting these wrongs.

What makes Americans so goddamn special? The UN would also be using the money to prevent suffering, but all around the world, and in countries that do not have the power to help themselves and have not chosen to elect a leader who is going to cut taxes when they owe the world hundreds of millions of dollars. By world standards Americans are extremely privileged. Damn right they should pay the money back now.

And the U.N. would be getting a bargain.

Peace keeping? How many of those so called peace keeping mission weren't aimed at serving American economic interests? How much oil access has America got out of it's military actions in the rest of the world?
There's plenty of food to feed those starving nations, if America really wanted to do something about it, it could.
America acts in America's interests, and they're raping the rest of the world to do it. That's why they owe.

And I notice you didn't mention the gulf war, or Vietnam, or Korea PC. Who was it that put Saddam in power in the first place? What exactly where Americans doing in these far off contries?
