A couple things,
one,
they do ask id for voting, its a matter of whether they question its legitimacy based on not the id itself or whether the voter is a minority
two,
You called them “coloreds”, have you even considered what the honkies and their pasty melanin-deficient ilk might think?
three,
calling your mom just “someone” when it was you who drove her to drug abuse is unkind, even if you do on occasion visit them in rehab
