The state of Colorado has enacted some significant "common sense" legislation designed to rein in out-of-control cops.

  1. "Assumption Of Qualified Immunity" has ended.
  2. All bodycam footage of an incident shall be released to the general public unedited within 21 days of an incident.
  3. All bodycam footage of an incident must be unedited to be entered into evidence at a trial.
  4. Any officer turning his/her bodycam off and on during an incident is "assumed maleficence" and all testimony from that officer is struck from the record in a trial.

Police are now accountable for their professional actions. Wow.
