How sensitive are you to color? Does it effect your mood? Do you even notice all the different colors around you like painted walls? Have you ever seen colors change when you stare at them? Do you dream in color and remember the colors? Are you light sensitive as well? Just like music and light, color have a very definite effect on me and was just wondering if anyone else had similar experience.

I have an intense dislike for red, pink and orange. I'm cool with the rest of the spectrum.

I have a definite color palate as far as my clothes go...I seem to be drawn to a lot of the same colors. I like my house neutral....which to me is very peaceful and soothing.

I uniformly dislike very loud colors - bright orange, bright green, bright blue. I prefer muted shades and earth tones.

Except my knickers. I've been known to wear some obnoxious and "out there" panties.

I grew up in the dayglo age.

I really can't stand green for clothing.

Only green I own has to do with the Miami Hurricanes and Dolphins. Plus an Irish Pub and that's about it. Greenish lingerie or panties, forget it. Pinch my ass come St. Patrick's Day.

The wallpaper is my office is from the 70's. It has red, pink and orange flowers with lots of greenery. It looks like puke, and it makes me want to puke.

Would it be off topic to mention the colors one may experience after eating mushrooms? And I chose the word 'experience' on purpose. If you've ever wondered what it would be like to stand inside a rainbow...yowzer!

No, by all means go ahead and mention the colors you experienced after eating shrooms. After driving in a vehicle with a guy high on them, I noticed we'd all gone from point A to D with the headlights off so I took over. My only experience with the stuff.

Seen the color trails and we used to go to art museum on shrooms but they are best in a park..

Well, for me, it's all about the colors. They envelope you. It always starts out as a soft, warm orange glow. For a while there doesn't seem to be any color outside of the glow. And it feels as though the glow moves inside you; it warms you. And then the other colors begin to pop...the most beautiful purples and blues, cool greens, hot-to-the-touch reds. And then they start to swirl. The colors begin to dance and they move your feet without ever asking you for permission. And then the colors begin to rain down. It's as though you're dancing in a shower of skittles. The colors rain over your head, and you can feel them when you hold your hands out to catch the drops. So before you know it, you are warm and dancing in a shower of color. That's been my experience, anyway.

The color trails...like the tails of horses. That's how I've thought of them before.

That's it...this wallpaper has got to go!!!

I need color, rich, bold, vibrant color. Now that my ex is gone, room by room I'm putting color back into this house. So yes, I am affected by color but more so by the lack of it.

Who gives you the right to ask so many questions in one thread?

I only ask one question, no more two, in one thread!

Thanks for the recap from your perspective and memory. Very colorful and no pun intended!

I can overdose on color too..but i hated working in a a Corporate grey world...

Color is very powerful. It's used in jails and hospitals and offices for different effects. Supposedly jail cells are bubblegum pink because it's calming. Never been in a jail cell so I don't know if that's true. I read it somewhere years ago. I read a lot of shit years ago. A lot of it was bullshit and a lot of it had to do with color so it stands to reason that a lot of the stuff about color was bullshit. I stopped caring.

When I was married and living in the house that we built I didn't have one single room painted any color but white. Now that I'm no longer married and have my own place, there isn't one single white wall in this house.

I prefer earthy colors, brick reds and milk chocolates in my living room and kitchen, sage green that actually looks soft when you stare at it in my family room and game room, grey-blue like the sky after a storm in my bedroom and the teal in my bathroom that looks like the Gulf at 7am.

Harsh colors hurt my head.

My wardrobe is usually in the colors I listed above with plenty of black thrown in.

I love colour and I go through phases as to which ones I like best. I always love reds and pinks and blues and greys and purples and black and white, though.

My wardrobe is fairly monochrome- mostly black, with some white and grey. Usually I rely on scarves, lipstick and nail polish for colour.

Yeah baby I can tell you like black cock. Hey I got 50 bucks and I'm looking for a date.

Despite her newish THUG LIFE tude and tat, singer/artist Rhianna recently purchased an amazing portrait of Marilyn Monroe made of Swarovski crystals so that it changes colors from different angles/viewings/perspectives.

And people bitching that she shoulda spent that insane amount of money on charity. Hey, maybe she just likes color and, haha, Norma Jean.

(It is an amazing portrait of Marilyn, btw, check it out)
