...just another way to milk the golden cow. Four teams picked at random isn't a play off, it's just renaming the BCS.

Why not just have the conference champions play the brackets, kind of like basketball does?

Every game after the regular season multiplies the chance of a blown knee etc.

But seriously, take the top 8 and play the championship game the week before the superbowl.:cool:

I've never had my knee blown. I don't see what that would do for me.

Blown knee, concussion....etc.

At some point they need to realize it's college sports.

There are 11 conferences and a group of independents. So have the 11 conference champs, and the best record for the independents play a 12 team play off. Simple.

Read my post again, bub.

I'll admit there's a risk in playing sports, but let's be honest about a few things.

1. An overwhelming majority of college football players are not going to play professionally.

2. Playing in extra games won't help the players who do get picked to go pro. We all knew Cam Newton was the #1 pick before his team won the BCS and we knew Tebow would not be the #1 pick despite winning the championship.

3. It's football. It's a crazy sport that leads to an overabundance of injuries.

1) EVERY college football player WANTS to play professionally, numbnuts;

2) Post hoc ergo propter hoc;

3) In your mind, what is the appropriate number of injuries per sport?
