College Directory

I majored in Aerospace Engineering. But to tell you all the truth I just really want to be a chef. Once I get my loans paid off I fully intend to. And thanks a ton for the very warm welcome back :)

I'll hold my tongue on that one (regarding the Aerospace Engineering). I can understand wanting something different... I've always wanted to do massage therapy (I've been told I'm damn good and if my friends are willing to pay I'd say I've got some talent). But first the college degree to back it up in life... Society is such a pain sometimes. Too many hoops to jump through. Need a BS here and a Master's here and a brown nose here...

hehe thanks for holding the tongue. Trust me I didn't do near the work that people think Engineers have to do. Granted I still never managed to meet the girl of my dreams at college but hey. I had a great time and wouldn't trade it for the world. Would just trade my degree is all hehe. It seems like all there is is hoops and stuff to jump through while you are actually in college then you get out and realize we are all exactly right. College is only good for learning how to learn and for socializing. Even my boss has told me its all about the people skills coming out of college :)
 
I just had a wonderful thought... July 1st I start my senior year of college. :D

But that was soon followed by a crummy thought.... I have to get my resume in gear and start looking for an internship! :(

Wow! I'm impressed, that takes alot of intellect and dedication. But I definitely believe in following your dreams, I'm sure you'll go on to become a fine chef. After all if you follow your heart, the money will come, eventually.
 
SC- we're going to have to have that pillow fight eventually, but I guess it will just have to wait for our audience, even though that didn't stop us last time.:D

Hiya SC, and thanks for welcoming me back too. I remember way back when that it was your fine idea to start this thread. And what a good idea that was.

UC I wouldn't worry so much about the resume, sure work on it and get it out but dont let the whole job thing stop you from having a good fun year. So many times it causes people way too much stress.

GEG, thanks for the well wishes on becoming a fine chef. I am pretty confident in my abilities now. Just figure training is good plus I would like to open my own restaurant or something. Such dreams I tell you. Glad that at 24 the world hasn't smashed them yet. Oh and I agree with UC, you have amazing eyes :)

Its a good thing that you love them because I am sure you get them rather frequently. So, just cause I am curious what is everyone here majoring in anyway or do I have to try to read back another 50 pages again ;)

Welcome back, and I have been out of college for about 4 years now and real life doesn't get any better, you just have to keep the playful mindset to stay young and going!
