So, I was looking at the past collar threads and it seems as if there are no current ones. Anyone have a collar that is beaded to look more like jewelry? Any pics or ideas on where to buy would be appreciated!

my collar right now is simply a necklace that A made for me.

i wore a choker as my collar for seven months but i had a skin reaction to the metal and had to switch back to the necklace.

becuase of my career choice, my collar HAS to look like jewlery.

What's your budget?

Are you looking for something that can be locked in some way, but also removed when necessary, like these, or one that can be removed very easily?

Mine is a necklace, a very nice necklace *giggles*

I requested it that way. Before with the "idiot" I had a collar collar and I do admit to having fears about getting another one like it. That one turned my neck green and gave me a rash *cough*

This one though is heavenly. I am extremly attached to it and to Him. I feel naked with out it. Its going to be hard going without it during winter break...*sighs*

Interesting ideas... No real budget. Just whatever I find that I think I can wear. Keep thinking that I might even talk to a local jeweler to make me one. I just seem to not find anything that I really dig.

I have been strolling the local Christmas market just this week and found some very nice choker style necklaces made of beads.

Here is a link to a few similar ones to give an idea: http://www.bead-elegance.wahmall.co...lay.php?formaction=catdisplay&categoryID=2355

I don't know how suitable they would be as collars - I guess that depends on the couple anyway - but I like the idea of them being relatively easy to make by yourself, even if not as fancy a pattern, and adding a personal touch to the symbol of commitment they might represent as a collar.. :)

I apologize for not having pics but a friend of mine made matching beaded necklaces for Her & "Her girl", beading which is what type of "jewelery" she does.
She does alot of beadwork off the top of her head :)

I am surprised no-one has said it yet so I will...

the symbol you chose with your owner is personal to you both, Nothing is set in stone it HAS to be a collar.
It could me matching necklace/wristband, same style chains, anything...
I have made braided chokers of leather & suede that have had pins & symbols added on later.
I was actually "commisioned" to make an elegant leather 8 strand braid for a submissive & when I sent it up, both her Master & she were estatic. She has an allergy to metals & required sterling silver or gold ends so more "traditional" collars with clasps & buckles were out of the question, so I found some SS ones & did the choker/collar for them :)
I am looking at one right now & actually have a padlock that would fit it's jump rings at the back.

Thankfully I have a job where I can & do wear collars all the time... everything from strip leather to braided suede/leather to chainmaille.
(my Top does awesome chainmaille work... I have 3 pieces now, I normally wear one if I KNOW he will be at the play space)

I have also made some very pretty non-piercing nipple jewelery too :)

Ms T gave me an anklet with a small and dainty lock charm on it. All of her subs have them, but the charms are slightly different. We get new charms for doing cool stuff.

This isn't a collar collar but a play collar she picked out.

I like the "return to Tiffany" tags. Plan to buy one for my girl. Haven't decided yet if it will be oval or heartshaped.

Yeah I've always been a fan of Tiffanys. I own several pieces.... I love them all.

yeah Cartier, *fanself* yeah.

wow. some of those are GORGEOUS!!! I think I've found another jeweller I love. hehe

For play, I'm still partial to the Agent Provatateur cuff and collar set. My heart skips beats each time I see them. I hope to commission Kari to make something like them for us.

I mean come on, who doesn't want a cystal tipped leather crop?

When I was last collared, it was with a choker, made of red Swarovski crystals. It sat comfortably but I could always feel it, a delicious reminder.

I don't have a collar but when I was about 11 at summer camp I made a black leather studded collar in a leather working class and wore it nonstop for the entire next year because it looked punk and I was just getting into punk. I put it away when me dad cryptically said to me one day "You know, some people will think your advertising something your not if you keep wearing that."

I was cleaning my room the other day and found it and laughed

Hmm

Well, I have a lot of chokers, but I have 2 or three that I wear constantly.

I have an actual collar that I bought at a rennassance fair last summer.

It's an actual collar, but for people. It's made out of extremely soft black leather, and has 5 blue stones in it in siver settings. The middle stone has a large flat silver setting around it with a celtic knot design.

I'm trying to find a charm for it, either a bell (like on a cat collar), or an "S".

It was handmade and approximately $45. After I bought it, the man cut it to my size and made the holes according to the size of my neck.
