Anyone know of a good place to find a Titanium or Stainless Collar. One for long term wear with a non obtrusive closure/lock?

Eternity collars

They secure via an allen screw that is invisible for all intents and purposes, as is the hinge. They also come in bracelets and anklets. They are very secure and don't even look like a piece of BDSM equipment unless you add on the drop ring.

About as invisible as you can get with public bondage.

I know you may have already purchased from Eternity, but I thought to toss this one into the mix for the heck of it.

This Collar is made from thick walled sterling silver Tube of 10 mm diameter. The collar needs a key to be opened. The Ring is a magnetically encoded key. The collar comes with a spare key, since I have implemented a new more secure lock, which is all but impossible to pick, even when you know how it works.

The key need not be a ring, but a pendant, or of some other design appropriate to the Key Holder. If a special design of key is required, please ask for a quote on that. The collar may be engraved at additional cost.

Umm Minor Hijack and philosophical question here...

Don't you start to lose some of the point to the whole thing by then???
Yes, locks, look like locks... That might be because they are in fact, generally, locks...And they require a key with which to be opened. A key which generally resides in the posession of the PYL partner.
Not a trip to the tool drawer, or the local hardware store..
*sigh* I suppose that what I am attempting to get to..In my own fumbling way..Is that a collar, by the time you get around to steel, embodies a certain type of symbolism.
And while I do appreciate the subtlties that are convenient in public...What is the point of a steel collar that anyone can open??

*sigh* Then again..I may just be tired and aggravated..

I don't think so. Most of the time when people are in public, their individual BDSM roles are understood and practiced discretely. Why should a padlock be necessary on a band of steel that's nice enough to not cause a scene, yet effectively reminding (in a decorative way, even) the wearer of their place?

Good point, but I suppose trust becomes the big deal here. I trust my girl not to bite my nipple off when I demand to be bitten, but it is still fully within the realm of possibility for her. Just the same, when I place a collar around her neck, she could likely find a way out of it, but...

Let's just say, both of my nipples are still in tact. ;)

Steel, sterling silver, aluminum, titanium, etc. are all much closer to being viewed (by the generally uninformed public) as jewelry than leather or any other non-metal alternative. I think the symbolism remains in-tact whether an allen screw is in place or a padlock. I know if I wanted badly enough to be out of a collar that I'd find a way. That being said, most of the subs I know cherish the honor of being collared and wouldn't dream of negating such a gesture.

*le sigh* I'm tired too, so if I've missed the point or furthered any aggravation, please forgive.

p.s. The collar I posted above your post cures many of these ills. Encoded magnetic key to be held by Dom/me that is nearly impossible to pick for even the man that designed it. Now THAT's security. :) And it's a nice, shiny silver to boot.
