Christ, can we get past it already? The story will come down however she wishes it to. And no one's holding a gun to your head to force you to read it.

I'll go with that. I'm looking forward to seeing the story now, hope the poor girl hasn't been totally discouraged.

I could see what you were getting at, but I think you took it too far, to no sensible effect. Questioning whether the trail would be wide enough for a horse was fairly ridiculous.

Apart from anything else your facts were completely wrong, you hadn't done your research. It took my 15 seconds to find out that there are enough canadian cowboys to support at least one magazine.

The trails were, as I said but you apparently didn't notice, simply a way to tie the story together: Instead of pure randomness they meet because of his passion.

How you ask? Well how did she find the isolated cabin? By following the trails. Why are there trails? Because the guy maintains them. Why does he maintains them? For his horse, because he like to play cowboy. There you go. Isn't it more romantic than just meeting by pure luck?

You also apparently didn't read the many times I acknowledged that yes, there can be cowboys in Canada.

I stopped caring about the outcome of the story a long time ago. I just had to address all these guys who had to come over from GD and post silly and ignorant comments and jokes about writing just to show their loyalty to the original poster. I suppose I should start posting pics too, then we could have our men fight for us, gladiator style.

Unless you have something productive and helpful to say, Please refrain from posting in my thread.

Attempting to get back to the original subject, how goes the brain storming for the story?

I am currently idea swapping with BlueStreak but if anyone else has an interest in this story, would like to share some ideas or write with me, Please PM me.

Canadians are not cowboys.

I know this thread is long dead, but I just felt compelled to point out that I've seen more than a few Canadian men wearing chaps at clubs, and other men exclaiming, "Yee haw! Ride 'em Cowboy!"

Interestingly enough, I came here tonight to ask for collaberation of two females and another male to develop a terrific storyline where everyone shares and develops a story. I would be more than happy to talk to you offline (that is via e-mail) about developing YOUR story thread. It may work or it may not. At this point I do not know if our interests overlap. I am flexilbe.

Cowboys? I'm fairly certain Canada has some somewhere. I mean, England probably has some somewhere (although they might be sheep-boys: less sexy). More to the point, in the country (to quote Hot Fuzz) 'everyone and his mom is packing out here'
Anyhoo, even if you wonderful people don't have any cowboys; what about Mounties? I mean, even if it is a bit of a cliché, it will still work (I mean; the horse, the hat, the gun, the sense of righteous justice...)

I've vaguely heard of this small town, back-water event called the Calgary Stampeed... I think that's somehow Canadian, and Cowboy related.
