I have submitted a 2:3 crop of the above as the cover illustration for the Coleoidphilia Trilogy (episode three posting May 25 as part of Geek Pride).

I have no idea whether or not it will be accepted, so wanted to share the full image here.

This is drawn by the multi-talented @djrip - thanks so much for capturing Emily and David so beautifully 😊. Fingers crossed Laurel approves🤞.

Why wouldn't Laurel approve it? What are the guidelines for illustrations?

I just wonder how well it will show up in a thumbnail. It might be better if there was more contrast between the drawing and the background.

See I have never done a cover illustration before. I have no idea 👱‍♀️👱‍♀️👱‍♀️

I think a cover illustration would push you into illustrated, but I could be wrong. I wouldn’t have minded having a crack at that, BUT, I do take ages to do ANY artwork so it would have taken a massive amount of time.

When you create a manual series, you have the option to create a summary page for it, with an intro etc. You can also submit a cover illustration there. It’s wholly separate to the stories and approved separately.

Well raise my rent. This opens up a whole new realm for me now with my stories with full colour illustrations.

I assume it still takes a long time for images to be approved. But it is at least decoupled from the story text.

The series submission page is a relatively new Lit development - I mean after I got here. Could I use it for an old, existing series - one that was completed nearly three years ago?
I don’t know if you have to enable manual series, or if it creates a summary page for auto ones (ones wher you use Ch. 01, Ch. 02…).

Try I guess.
