Cold Snap In Texas.

Texas has it's own grid. That grid wasn't designed for the sudden demand caused by cold weather.

Texas electricity normally trades at $30-40 - it's now trading at $9,000.

I'm just glad that all those Texans freezing in the dark are able to keep their phones charged so they can post to socmed.

Sorry texas, nobody on the gb cares about you.

Next disaster, try sending pics of food.

Seriously? The worlds gone mad. This the stock mkt. equivalent of 'musical chairs' and someone is gong to be left holding the bag when the music stops.

In times like this, the Left looks to the Right...

They cannot pick up the pieces; they are theory only, not practical application.

Take California, for example.

Thanks to the reverence for the Red Green movement,
they have to import energy from their neighbors
when they have it potentially in abundance.

When you buy a Texas Kilowatt do you get a Backorder Notice 3 days after you pay?

The most serious issue I suppose is being out of electricity. That,so far I and my sister next door have... although my brothers out in the country are not so lucky.

One, like myself has a small generator to power the furnace (propane) the other just has a jury rigged propane heater.(He works for the County and had to go Grade roads to clear them yesterday.)

Both have been without power since Monday about noon.

The whole damned area is without water.

According to county officials between the wells running dry, leaks and the problem of no electricity and frozen pipes this may last a few more days.
I keep three cases of Ozarka on hand for times like these.

The streets are iced over and there is really no where to go.

My biggest pain in the ass is my roommate.

The circumstances have not improved her personality or her pleasant outlook on life.:D

Having bottled water on hand is they way to go.

I also have big containers that I keep full of water treated with a touch of bleach.

You fucktwits know that snow and ice are frozen water, don't you? And that heat melts them and can even boil to purify, right?

Go over to the Politics forum. All of this would have never happened if the State had voted for Biden. :D

It takes a lot of fucking snow to produce any appreciable about of water moron...

And

The stored water is not just for snow events, but also electric grid failures during storm season.

What a fucking hateful idiot you are...

You need water to drink. Maybe some to cook with. No more than a few gallons a day. Probably less that that.

You can let some melt gradually to flush your crap away.
