Sienna Fairway
Age: 24
5'4, 130lbs. Long mocha brown hair, striking green eyes framed by thick lashes, a toned body. Wholesome yet gorgeous.

The alarm beside the bed blared its annoying chime. 5:00am came way too soon when you hadn't gotten to bed until 2 as it was.

"Shut that thing the fuck up" Darryl growled from beside her in the bed. Sienna hastened to slap the off button before it made him even more angry. After the night before, she didn't need to give him any reason to be angry.

Sienna stepped gingerly out of bed. Her ankle throbbed a bit, and her head spun slightly as it pounded. She bit back a groan and walked into the bathroom. The hot shower helped some with easing the pain in her ankle, but not her head. She popped a few aspirin and then began to do her hair. She left it down that day, so that the shining brown locks would cover her temple where a dark bruise was forming. A light layer of makeup - heavier around her temple - and a few squirts of perfume, and she headed out to get dressed.

Heels weren't happening that day, but it was a field trip day at her pre-k anyway, so she opted for a pair of comfortable but loose tennis shoes, a pair of body hugging denim jeans, and a tasteful, pale yellow, cotton tshirt. The outfit wouldn't turn heads, but it gave her a beautiful but wholesome look.. Perfect for spending the day with fifteen 4 and 5 year olds touring a police station.

Darryl was back to snoring on his pillow, and Sienna gladly walked out of the house without saying goodbye. Fifteen minutes later she arrived at Scribbles and Giggles Early Childhood Developmet Center, strong coffee in hand to help get her started.

Her ankle had loosened up some and wasn't so bad... Thank god.

The children started pouring in with laughter and squeals, making Sienna forget the ugly events of the night before. Scribbles and Giggles was her safe haven. She didn't consider herself to be abused. Just sometimes she pissed Darryl off, and he couldn't control his temper. She would have to try harder to please him.

The last child finally arrived and Sienna gathered them all around her to explain their day.

"Good morning guys!" She greeted her class. "Today we are going to visit a real police station!!" She went on to explain all safety rules, and expectations, then she and her two teachers aides loaded all of the children up into the rented school bus for the short trip there.

Within minutes they arrived and the crowd of children and adults walked to the entrance.

"Lord I hope they're ready for us", Sienna muttered as they stepped into the cool interior of the station.

Name: Tim Ford
Age : 26

6'0, muscular and fit, with black hair, blue eyes, and olive skin.

Tim had made sure that his uniform was pressed, and his boot were polished before he turned in to bed. The time he had served in the military had taught him the advantages of being well prepared for what may lie ahead. Tim had only done a four year stint, but that way of life, had become etched in to Tim's way of life.

Tim's alarm woke him at 5am, giving him plenty of time to have a shave, shower, get dressed and report for duty at 6am. Tim walked in to the duty room at 5:45, his uniform crisp, the creases in his pants firm and obvious, and his shoes polished so he could see his reflection in them. Tim joked with a few of the officers, as they milled around and drank the thick black tar the department called coffee. When the sergeant entered the room at 6am sharp, everyone took their seats, so Sergeant Montgomery could read out the days assignments.

"Officer Ford, you have station duty, and are responsible for the tour group today." Sergeant Montgomery said in her usual business like tones.

Tim sat at his desk, and hung his head. Tim knew that today was going to be another long, slow boring day at the office. The upside to being assigned to the station for the day is, the chance is there to catch up on the paperwork that needed to be done. The other thing that had him worried was the tour group. What was he going to do with them? What was he going to show them? He was no good with children, and he knew it.

Tim was sitting at his desk, filling in his statement about a nasty car accident the night before, trying to decipher his own handwriting, when he heard the excited chatter of children fill the foyer.

Tim drew a long slow breath, and stood up from his desk. He walked over the counter, and surveyed his tour group. 'This is going to be fun.' Tim thought to himself, it was then he noticed the angel at the back of the group struggling to get through. Her long mocha hair bouncing freely with step, her eyes shining to see the kids so excited, and her figure was perfect. Tim looked at her and flashed a smile, before saying to the struggling angel, "I'm guessing you are the group from Scribbles and Giggles." Tim said half chuckling staring in to the hazel eyes of the gorgeous girl who now made it through the kids, and was standing on the other side of the counter from him."

Sienna smiled at the handsome officer who met her at the desk. Handsome didn't really cover it ... He was gorgeous if she were honest.

"No sir" she responded to his question of who they were. "I have a whole herd of juvenile delinquents I would like to turn over to you".

Sienna smiles and winked at him, all of the kids behind her squealing an screaming Nooooooo at her.

"Ok, ooook" she said dramatically. "You're right. We sure are that group. My name is Sienna". She held her hand out for him to shake. "I'm sure you are just oh so thrilled to be showing us around today" she whispered, rolling her eyes playfully. "But thank you anyway". She flashed him a bright smile that didn't quite reach her eyes.

Sienna introduced her two teachers aides before turning back to face the officer square on again.

"They are so excited about this" she said with a smile. Her hand nervously smoothed her hair down over her temple even as she grinned. "You have an interested bunch here, sir".

Tim couldn't help himself but to laugh at the high pitched squeals of no, when Sienna said that the group with juvenile delinquents, and that she was handing them over to us.

Tim shook her hand, and felt a strange sensation as he shook her hand, he was light headed, and it felt like someone had released all the butterflies from a butterfly farm in his stomach. It was a feeling he hadn't felt before. Sure, Tim had been attracted and aroused by a woman before, but this was different. No woman had ever made him feel like this.

While Sienna was talking it was like a haze had engulfed him, and her voice was the only voice that could penetrate it.

The moment Sienna said "You have an interested bunch here, sir" Tim said "Please call me Tim. No need for formality." With that Tim lifted up part of the counter and opened the gate, inviting the group in to the office area of the station. As the group flowed through the gate, Tim stood holding the gate open for everyone, allowing his eyes to fall on Sienna's firm round butt, which caused an instant twitch in his pants.

Tim shut the gate, and lowered the counter top to is usual position, and made his way to the front of the group, looking at all the excited faces. Tim locked his stare on Sienna's eyes, and began the tour. Tim pointed out all the important things, like the sergeant's office, and explained what was in the filing cabinets, and the computers.

Tim wrapped up his summary of the office area and asked the group to follow him. The group then moved in to a darkened room, with a window that looked in another room. Once they were all in there, and the door was shut, Tim said to Sienna, "Can you please split the kids in to groups of 5, so I can show the kids how this room works."

Siena smiled sweetly at Tim and nodded when he requested no formality. She entered the office areas of the station with the children. If she were honest she would admit to being just as interested as the children were... But she was willing to bet it was because of Tim that she was so interested.

He seemed to be staring at Sienna a lot during the tour, and Sienna found the attention flattering but unnerving. Eventually he asked for the children to split up and she obliged. Her ankle was throbbing and knew it was swollen as well. Keeping one eye on the children she leaned against a wall and lifted her pant leg, grimacing bet entire ankle was black purple and blue and swollen to nearly twice it's normal size.

Quickly putting her pant leg back down she looked up to see Tim staring intently at her. She blushed and gave him a small smile before returning to her class and listening to his explanation.

Tim noticed Sienna checking her ankle, and he felt concern growing within him, when he saw the bruise, and the obvious swelling.

Once the children had been split in to groups, Tim walked them through the other door, and got them to line up against the wall, and explained to the kids the purpose of the room, and the one way window, which had turned in to a mirror in the other room.

Tim rotated the kids through the rooms, so that every kid could see how everything worked.

As Tim led the group in the next room, the coldness of the room filled the air. It was the holding cells, which fortunately were empty. Tim opened one of the cells, and invited the children to step in. Once all the children had stepped in to the cell Tim closed the door and locked them in briefly. No sooner was the door locked, and the children started voicing their objection, some of them quite loudly. Tim shared a quick giggle with Sienna, then unlocked and opened the cell. Before letting the children out, Tim stood in the door and said to the children, "This is where we put all the naughty boys and girls. Like those boys and girls who steal, or" Tim shifted his sights to Sienna and continued "Those boys and girls who hit someone they shouldn't."

As Tim said that, he thought he saw Sienna grimace slightly. It was almost as if an unspoken communication had passed between Tim and Sienna. Tim said to one of the aides "Would you please take the children to the next room? I'll be right there."

As the children followed the aide, Tim stood there like he was holding the cell door open, and as Sienna passed him, Tim said to Sienna "Can I have a word please Sienna?"

Sienna couldn't help but smile as she watched her class enjoy the lineup. She couldn't see him admitting it, but Tim was good with the kids. He made then laugh and kept them entertained. They were learning a lot from him about the workings of a police station.

In the next area, the holding cells, Tim locked her class within one. They all screamed for help jokingly, making both Tim and Sienna laugh, as well as the two teenage teachers aides.

Tim explained to the kids that this was where people who did things wrong were put. Then he mentioned hitting people. And looked directly at her. Her heart stuttered. He couldn't know. Surely it was just ironic.

Tim then asked for the class to go to the next room. He held the door like a gentleman, but surprised her by asking for a word in private.

"Sure", Sienna replies brightly. She turned to the aides. "Stay right with them. I need to speak with him for a moment and will be righ back"'she instructed.

She then turned her attenion back to Tim.

"What can I do for you?" She asked him with a false bright smile.

Tim didn't want to admit it to anyone especially Sienna, but there was a burning deep within that Sienna had ignited. Nonetheless, he knew the signs of abuse when he saw it. He had reprimanded men in his command in the military, he had seen the ways their wives behaved, and tried to conceal it. He knew Sienna wouldn't come out and admit it openly.

Tim decided that tact might be the best way to go. He drew a deep breath and said, "Sienna, I'm not assuming anything, but if there is anything you want to tell me, or talk to me about, here is my card." Tim said, holding a card out for her to take. "In case I'm not at the station, I took the liberty of writing my cell phone number on the back of the card." Tim waited for Sienna to take the card, before saying, "Maybe we should go catch up to the rest of the group." Flashing a quick smile at Sienna.

He offered her his arm jokingly, before walking a step in front her.

"Sorry kids. Now this is where we take photo's of the bad boys and girls." Tim said turning to the group.

The rest of the tour passed without another word being spoken between Sienna and Tim, until the tour group returned to the lobby of the station. But subconsciously Tim continued to pay more attention to Sienna than the rest of the group.

As the group returned back to the foyer, Tim said "That is the end of the tour." But before letting the group go he gave them all a souvenir bag, that had a few trinkets in them, and gave Sienna a stranger danger DVD for the other kids who couldn't make the tour.

As the kids filed out to the bus, Tim smile at Sienna and said "They are a great group of kids. I was dreading doing this tour, but I'm glad I ended up doing it. Oh, and I meant it when I said you can call me anytime."

Sienna was a bit surprised when Tim only gave her his card. Was he doing it because he suspected something? Or was it a way of flirting? Sienna wasn't sure. She took the card and put it in the pocket of her tight jeans. "Thanks Tim, if I ever need help I will call" she said, her green eyes locking with his.

The rest of the station tour was as great as the beginning. The kids had a fabulous time and the teachers did as well.

Sienna gave Tim a genuine smile when he complimented the children. She was like a proud mother to all 15 of them. "Thanks" she said to him. "They are a pretty cool group. I'm gonna miss them when they move on".

Tim reminded her again to please call if she needed anything. Sienna subconsciously reached up and touched her temple. "Um thanks, I will" she replied, knowing she probably never would.

Just then a little girl named Annabelle walked over. "Mr Police Man?" She asked. "My brother always steals my doll babies and cuts their hairs. Can you 'rest him please?"

Sienna laughed out loud at the cute little girl and swung her into her arms. "Annabelle has 4 older brothers" she explained to Tim.

"I can't thank you enough for today. It was fabulous. We would love to come back again sometime".

With a little wave, sienna took Annabelle and they got on the bus where the aides had the children singing. Sienna immediately joined in, using animated hand motions. It seemed when she was with the children all of her worries went away. It was the only time she seemed to smile genuinely.

Tim laughed at Annabelle, and before he had a chance to answer her, Sienna had her scooped up in her arms, and explaining the situation. As Sienna walked out of the station, Tim said "Come back again soon." As he walked back to his desk to resume his battle with the paperwork, he kicked himself. 'Come back again soon.' How cheesy do you want to sound Tim?' He chastised himself.

Tim stared at his phone willing it ring, as he relived the events of the incidents he was filling in the paperwork for. Flashes of Sienna's gorgeous smile, her firm ass, her wholesome breasts flashed through his mind while he tried to concentrate. It was pointless. He was smitten.

Tim glanced at the clock at saw it was lunch time. he knocked on the sergeant's door, and said "Is it OK if I take one of the cars? I wanted to try one of those new burger shops that opened up down near Scribbles and Giggles."

The sergeant didn't even look up, and said "Take car 54. Just make sure you stay on radio."

Tim smiled contentedly as he got the keys, and headed out the door. Tim was secretly, unconsciously hoping against hope to steal another glance at Sienna, or maybe yet, bump in to her at the shops. As Tim pulled out of the driveway, and headed along the road, he radioed on, so the powers that be knew he was available if needed, and drove in the general direction of Scribbles and Giggles.

Sienna and her class got back to the school right before lunch time. It was a wild affair as children giggled, talked, and ate. Food always got everywhere. The children were especially restless that day after the trip so after they were done eating Sienna decided to take them all outside to the playground before nap time.

She was unaware of passersby as she played with the children, but after about ten minutes she had to lean against the fence to take pressure off of her ankle. The pain was unmerciful. Fucking Darryl. she thought bitterly.

Her mind drifted then to Tim. Why couldn't Darryl be more like him? Handsome, a good sense of justice, protective and strong. Instead, Darryl was a sniveling coward who beat on women.

Why did she stay with him? It was an easy question to answer even though she didn't like the answer. He had a job. She couldn't afford a rent payment on her salary alone. Being a pre-k teacher was fabulous but she didn't make much money.

Groaning softly she stood straight again and glanced at her watch, calling the children over to lineup to go inside for nap. It was then that she would get her "lunch break", even though she ate when the children did.

Tim parked the police car outside the Happy Harry's Hamburgers, and instead of walking in to order lunch, he stopped and looked at the day care centre, and instantly spotted Sienna. He didn't say anything, didn't do anything, just leant up against his car and watched as she interacted with the kids.

He saw Sienna limp and lean against the fence. He also saw her rub her ankle. Tim wanted to find out more about how she had herself, but how do you ask someone if they are being abused. Tim thought he saw Sienna look at him, so he waved at her, and made it look as if he had just gotten out of the car and headed in to the hamburger shop.

Tim placed his order, and went outside to wait in the sun, and his mind drifted off to Sienna again. Reliving their time together earlier that day. Was he being stupid? Was he just infatuated? Or could it really be love at first sight?

Tim knew that only time could tell him how he really felt about Sienna.

Sienna finally got to take her break once the children were asleep, 15 minutes later. As she walked outside she thought she saw someone across the road at Happy Harry's wave to her. The person then went inside. She waved back, puzzled. She made her way across the street to the gas station next to Harry's. The person who had waved was back outside when she came back out.

It was Tim. A broad, genuine smile crossed her face as she saw him.

"Hey there" she greeted him as she limped up. "Lunch break?"

She leaned against the car beside him, enjoying the feel of the warm metal against her back. She glanced at him from the corner of her eye. My god he was gorgeous... But she had a boyfriend... Even though it was a Horrible one like Darryl....

She was puzzled by the attraction she felt to Tim. It was like a magnetic pull, almost impossible to resist. She had never felt anything like it before.

Tim chuckled at Sienna as she asked "Lunch break?" Tim half chuckled back "Yeah".

Tim leaned against the car beside Sienna and chatted politely as he waited for his order. Tim relived some of the funnier moments of the tour earlier that morning, and shared them with Sienna. Tim was still concerned about Sienna, he didn't want to scare her off, but he knew this was the most private chat he was going to get to have with Sienna. But he decided to try something a little different to get her to talk.

"Sienna, you know I gave you my card if you need anything, anytime. No matter if you need a lift, if you are in trouble or if someone is hurting you? I'd like you to think of me more a friend than a local copper." As he said this he touched her hand, gently reassuringly, just to let her know that he was sincere.

After a bit more of a chat, a voice boomed from inside the shop, "Excuse me Officer, your order is ready."

Tim flashed Sienna a quick smile and said, "It was great seeing you again. Remember, any time, for anything. Bye Sienna."

Sienna found herself laughing and generally enjoying herself as she spoke with Tim. She was incredibly infatuated with the man. Eventually, Tim's face grew serious and he glanced at Sienna. He was completely serious and told her she could call him whenever she need him, like if someone were hurting her. Her hand automatically went up to make sure her temple was covered, unaware that the bruise had grown a bit and was now peeking out from behind her hair.

"Thank you I appreciate it. I always worry about something happening at work.
It will be nice to have an officers number just in case.

Someone announced that Tim's food was ready and Sienna smiled at him. "Have a good rest of the day Tim".

With that she went back to work, and tried to enjoy the rest of the day. Unlike most people, being at work was the BEST part of her day. And that proved true again once she arrived home.

Darryl was on a warpath. He had lost his favorite lighter- a stupid reason for throwing a fit if you asked her- but he was furious. The house was practically ransacked. Sienna stared in anger at the mess.

"I guess you expect me to clean this up?" She asked.

Darryl snarled in her direction. "Shut up bitch. Where the fuck is my lighter?!" He threw a couch cushion across the room, breaking a picture frame. Sienna walked into the bedroom and lay down, deciding to let the storm take its course before cleaning.

By the time Tim had gone inside and collected his order, Sienna had crossed the road, and he spotted her limping slightly up the road towards Scribbles and Giggles. Tim waited for Sienna to walk in, and out of sight, before heading back to the station.

Tim drove back to the station, and let the sergeant know he was back at the station, and that he was in the meal room. Tim sat there looking at his lunch, and suddenly didn't feel that hungry. His mind had travelled back to Sienna, the way her hand kept traveling to her temple whenever something was said that even hinted at her being hurt. Tim eventually convinced himself that it was nothing more than his imagination.

Tim finished his lunch and went back to his desk and finished his outstanding reports.

Tim's shift was almost over, and he had finished all of his reports, when the sergeant from the night shift walked up to Tim and said "Officer O'Brien has just rung in sick. Can you work a double shift?"

Tim sighed. He couldn't believe this. He had just done 12 hours at the station, and didn't want to do it. So he said, "I'm bushed Sarge. I've just done 12 hours on the desk. I can't do a double, but I can do 4 hours. That way you can find someone to cover the rest of his shift."

The sergeant wasn't happy with Tim's reply, but took him up on his offer nonetheless. "You'll be in car 15, covering sector 3. Oh, and you will be alone tonight too, so if you need backup, call for it ASAP."

"Thanks Sarge." Tim said half-heartedly.

Tim wasn't too fussed about spending 4 hours on patrol, especially in sector 3. It was a nice quiet area, and mostly problem free. Tim followed the duty sergeant in to the duty room, and took a seat up the back of the room. As promised the sergeant said "Officer Ford, you have car 15, in sector 3. Hernandez, and Steel will be in car 29 on highway duty, and they will be your first call for back up." Tim nodded as the rest of the assignments were read out.

As the briefing ended, Tim signed out his car, and started his patrol. He headed for a late night coffee shop he knew, and ordered a coffee, keeping an ear on the radio, listening for any jobs in his area.

Sienna laid in the back room all evening listening to Darryl wander around cussing. She felt like a prisoner in her own home. It was a horrible situation. She was stuck between a rock and a hard place.

Eventually, around 9pm Darryl finally came storming into the bedroom. "Where's my fucking dinner?" He growled at her. "It's after god damn 9:00!"

Sienna glanced drolly at him. "There's leftovers in the fridge. I have a headache and my ankle hurts, I'm not cooking."

"Awww poor little girl has a booboo" Darryl said, laughing viciously. "You'll survive. I want burgers. Go cook them." Sienna lay still and considered denying him for a moment before finally getting up. She limped into the kitchen and began to cook.

Forty five minutes - and 4 beers for Darryl - later, she sat a plate of burgers on the table. Darryl stared at it for a minute and then flung the plate away in rage. "Fucking burnt!" He shouted. "You're worthless! You can't even cook right!"

Sienna shook her head and walked to the bedroom where she grabbed her keys. Without another word she walked out the door and began to drive. She had no idea where she was going but suddenly she wanted to talk to Tim.

Why, she wasn't sure. But she did. It was only 10pm. Was that too late? Hesitating, she finally dialed the number and hit send.

Tim had just finished his overtime, and was heading out the station. He was glad to be out of there after 16 hours. He was tired, and drained, but felt relief at the same time. Tim had the next 3 days off, and thought about maybe going to his family's ranch, and checking on his parents.

The thought of the country eased him even further. His parents acreage, riding his horse "Copper" down to the river that bordered the property. He also knew that He would probably have some chores to do, but that was the joys of visiting mum and dad.

Tim was bought back to reality, by the electronic ringing of his phone. Tim took his phone of his waist, and didn't recognise the number being displayed. Tim answered the phone in his usual manner, "Tim Ford." Tim waited for a second before saying "Hello?"

Sienna heard Tim's deep voice come through the speaker and for a moment didn't know what to say. This was a horrible idea! When he said hello? She snapped out of her stupor.

"Hey Tim, this is Sienna" she said, tryin to infuse some brightness into her tone. "I'm sorry I'm calling so late, I just had to get out of the house for a while and was, well, I was wondering if you would want to grab a late night coffee or ice cream or something like that? I completely understand if not. I know it's late".

All of this was said quickly, not wanting to lose her confidence in asking him out. Her heart beat furiously in her chest as she waited for his much anticipated answer.

Once Sienna identified herself, Tim was elated. He was hoping she would call, and she did.

Tim said "Hi Sienna, is everything ok?" Tim asked before Sienna managed to blurt out her question, but once she did Tim was elated but managed to conceal his excitement, with a cool, calm voice, though his insides were screaming 'What are you waiting for you idiot, say fucking YES!!!'

Tim said "Sure, I'd love to catch up with you. I've just finished some overtime at work. Where would you like to meet up? I only need 15 minutes to get home and changed."

Sienna heard him say yes and found herself grinning in the car by herself. He contemplated where to meet. "How about that coffee shop three blocks up from the police station... What's it called? Mojo's?"

She knew Darryl wouldn't come looking for her but if he did, Mojo's was way across town so chances of finding her were slim. She waited anxiously for Tim's answer as she started to head in that general direction.

When Sienna suggested Mojo's, Tim agreed before he knew what was happening. He hoped Sienna hadn't picked up on his eagerness as he said "Sure, I can be there in about 15 - 20 minutes. See you then." As he hung up, Tim wondered if everything was ok. Tim jogged home in his uniform, changed quickly in to jeans, a polo shirt, and a pair of runners, before heading out the door again.

Tim drove to Mojo's, not knowing what was going on, and besides 'driving is quicker than running'. Tim thought as he grabbed his car keys.

Tim drove the 5 blocks to Mojo's in no time, and found a parking spot about 3 doors down from Mojo's. He quickly scanned the coffee shop, and couldn't see Sienna. So he grabbed a table, and waited with baited breath to see Sienna again.

As Tim waited he spotted a couple of officers walk in, they briefly exchanged pleasantries, before they walked to the counter, and placed their orders. As the ordered Tim saw Sienna walk in. Without thinking, Tim stood up, and waited for Sienna to walk over.

Sienna arrived within 20 minutes to the shop. She hurried from her car, checking over her shoulder and entered the coffee shop. She was wearing a close fitting log sleeve shirt now, and the same tight jeans from earlier, with a pair of flip flops. She looked young and fresh and beautiful.

She saw Tim stand and automatically began to relax some. For some reason in just that short time they had been at the station, he now represented a safe haven to her. Something about him just exuded protectiveness, safety and peace. For that she was thankful.

One last glance over her shoulder and she approached him, with a cautious smile. "Hey" she said softly. "Thanks for meeting me. It's a nice change of pace".

Tim's heart skipped a beat when Sienna spoke to him, and for half a second he was speechless. "Um yeah, it is a nice change. Please sit down." Tim said.

As they sat the officers walked past, and said "Have a good night Tim." And kept walking.

Tim said "You too boys, and hope its not too exciting for you." With half a laugh. As Tim watched the boys walk out, Tim spotted a figure lurking in the shadows. He couldn't make out much, other than he wasn't moving, but he was leaning against a car, smoking.

Tim then turn his attention back to Sienna, and said "Thanks for calling me, I was hoping you would call. Is everything ok? Is there anything I can do for you?" Tim thought about holding Sienna's hand as he asked this but decided against it. As Tim looked in to Sienna's eyes, a gust of wind caught her hair, and showed some of bruise on her temple. Tim's voice change to one of concern, and asked "What happened to your temple Sienna? Did someone hurt you?"

Sienna sat down with Tim and smiled at him. "Everything is ok" she said quietly, although her eyes didn't quite meet his as she said it. "I was just going a little stir crazy at home is all, and I really enjoyed talking to you today so thought I would call ."

Just then a lady walked in the shop and the air caused her hair to flutter. Suddenly Tim's eyes were on her temple like lasers and he asked what had happened to her temple? Immediately Sienna's hand went to her temple to cover it.

"Oh this," she said belatedly. "I just, uh, hit my head on the gym equipment at work the other day" she said quickly. "No one did it. It was just me being, um clumsy".

She looked into his eyes then, her own eyes unable to hide the shame she felt within herself.
