I love my morning coffee, but I'm in desperate need of some variety. But...I live in a small town and the selection of coffee is basically two brands and mediocre flavored stuff. So, I need some recommendations. What kind of coffee do you drink? Who makes the best flavored coffee? Stuff I can buy online would be the best since that's the only way I'll be able to get it!

My addiction thanks you. :)

I'm in much the same boat, but we drink so much coffee that all we can afford is Folger's. :D

First of all, coffee should be coffee flavored. yeah, I'm a bit of a snob about that.

Here's what I drink (The 'Presso Dark' roast).

Kenyan beans, high-grown. It's the best I can get that isn't too expensive. Apparently they export to the States too. $9.95 is a bit steep though, but that's small scale import for you. I pay half of that here.

im not a coffee snob. folgers is just fine with me. but as with beer, i love my coffee dark and strong. folgers puts out a dark columbian roast and has started with hazlenut flavored coffee too.

I love my morning coffee too. Especially when it comes time to fill the gas tank. You see, I stop for coffee every morning at Thornton's gas station and qwikkie mart. For every cup of coffee I buy I get a 4 cent per gallon discount on gas. Friday night I filled the tank on my truck and turned in all the fuel discount slip I had collected for the past two weeks.

I saved $14 on gas.

I love coffee. :D

BTW: That's black, no cream, no sugar. No mocha mint, hazelnut vanilla, caffe latte, cinnamon whatever. Just coffee.

That's what I drink now but I have this sweet tooth problem, and I really love flavored coffee. :)
Oh! And I add milk and sugar. No black coffee for me.

I happen to LURVE folger's.

I have it on good authority that Ghiradelli's chocolate-raspberry is quite enjoyable, too. ;)

Don't know where you live, SJ, but if you're in the Midwest, see if you can find Stewart's in the supermarket. It makes a very deep, rich coffee without the sour winey taste you get from most grocery coffees. Someone told me it's because they use the Arabica bean rather than the less expensive Robusta. Stewart's is the one coffee I've found that actually tastes as good as it smells. It's about $1.50 a can more expensive than the big brand names, and well worth it.

well I'm a fan of the flavored cream idea,, buy cheap stuff and 5 flavors of creamer. If not that i just buy the amaretto coffee. It spells just like chocolate cover cherries while it brews.
Nymphy

Dark, Strong Chicory Coffee.
If you can see the bottom of the spoon through a spoonfull, it is too weak.
It is an acquired taste.
Black.
Getting hard to find around here though.
Good luck in your hunt SJ. :)

Sophia.... The one word you need to know about flavored coffee....

Gevalia.......

I've been using it for about ten years now.....

It sounds expensive but remember you only use one scoop for ten cups.... cheaper in the long run.... Ya get a free coffee pot with your first order... lol

They sell Gevalia in USA???

Me, I always drink Classic, the Electricity Brew kind. 2 lumps of sugar, LOTS of milk. When I want to fancy it upp, I make it Arabian Coffee by adding cardemom in the cup. Looks awful, tastes great.

Vanilla sugar is nice too, if you don't add too much of it, then it tastes bad.

Yep. For the connieseus. Or at least for the "I don't want mud"-crowd.Then again, almost all brands here are 100% Arabica beans. Which is the better stuff, the know-hows say.

But I don't know what TX mean with Gevalia being a brand for flavored coffee. Must be for the export market only?

Ever tired brewing the cardamom with the coffee? I do that with cinnamon on the rare occations when I'm bored w plain coffee. Works nicely.

There is Kona coffee and you can order it directly from Hawaii.

Maybe up there. The Fjollträsk selection is pretty decent.

*shrug* Coffee flavours is a marketing gimmick anyway. Like flavoring beer. Why mess with perfection?
