Do any of you have any experience with cock rings? My 35 year old husband's erections are not as stiff as they used to be. While he has no trouble getting or maintaining a hard on, they are no longer the "rod of steel" that they were 10-15 years ago. Do you think that a cock ring might be the answer?

Age seems to have a sense of humor doesn't it. I coerced my 38 year old husband into using a cock ring once (among other things). It deffinitely caused him to stay hard for almost unlimited amount of time, however, there was some pain involved, perhaps it was too tight, or for too long, don't know. It is quite possible while using one the penis may actually become firmer. Anyway, no more than they cost, it's worth a try.

There are two types of ring to my knowledge, rubber and steel. The rubber type has a tendency of seizing your pubic hairs, which can really hurt. My suggestion is to use hair remover, which in turn can be a real turn on, especially when used with baby oil. As for the steel type, I have no idea
A cock ring works almost the same way a blood pressure cuff does. It prevents blood from draining out of the penis, and traps more blood in the body of the penis. The ring actually lets you fill your penis to maximum capacity, which (although it expands it a little more) starts to hurt, the same way your arm would hurt if you left an inflated blood pressure cuff on your arm for a few hours. It may give you a little extra rigidity, and that extra firmness could be a bonus if you want to try some new positions. Be adventurous, but be careful..

I've heard that they're dangerous...I've seen what can happen when they're left on too long.
As much as Viagra and other drugs are advertised, I'd think I would know the answer to this, but I don't: Do they actually help with the "quality" of the erection, or just getting one, period?
That might be a safer alternative?

I've tried a cock ring, and yes they do work. You want to make sure to put it on before you start to get hard, and then "grow" into it for th best fit. Try some of the toy web sites (Xandria.com?) for selection. I found a set of three rubber (Neoprene?) that were of different sizes, so you could pick the size that fits you best. Don't pick a size that is too tight or problems will "arise"

I have a cockring that I've used a time or two and while it's fun to experiment with by no stretch of the imagination should you plan on using it on a regular basis. I could use one to stay hard for days at a time but it was uncomfortable to the point where it was all but impossible to cum, and even when I did it wasn't enjoyable.
