Metal rings are not scary, but rubber is easier cuz it has some "give/take".

Yep - definitely the rubber ones are the way to go. Stretchy and easier to remove if you wish during sex. I use rubber O rings - cheap and available in a multitude of sizes and use one for my cock and another larger one around my balls.

I have used rubber Ring and it's good as there is some give but they can snag if you aren't shaved

gearessential yes! For me, their 'Master' is perfect for day wear and also for doing the deed: the depth of it means that the grip of the thing is spread over a wide band of your skin and so is comfortable even with a quite tight one; the flat 'outer' surface of it provides a delicious backing for your ball sack and shaft base to be pressed onto by your clothes.

I have used them, but not frequently, they're more of a novelty thing but lots of fun. The rubber ones I have tried don't work as well as I'd like (slip off, don't maintain very firm erection), so I went to metal. The 2" dia X 1/4" cross-section solid rings from a hardware store work very nicely whether around just the balls or around cock and balls. Any smaller than that and you could have some medical problems. Also recommendations ... if you feel your balls get cold, watch closely the amount of time you wear one because that means circulation is being really restricted beyond what is healthy so don't wear it more than about 20min to 30min. I also have a heavier one with nicely smooth tapered cross section which is much more comfortable, but the smaller 1/4" cross section actually works better for maintaining a very rigid erection, not sure exactly why. Another recommendation with the metal rings is to used lubrication when you apply it, that will reduce/eliminate skin burn from friction, which can be off-putting to say the least. But, they are a lot of fun..

Hi, don't mean to intrude with unwanted advice, but the 2"dia x 1/4" dia cross section rings can be obtained at a hardware store in either chrome-plated steel (which is the same as what is obtained at sex specialty places) or in brass, which is kinda cool just for further novelty. I definitely recommend using them for anal because they hold a very rigid erection, but go slow, very slow and careful and use lots of lube (what feels like way too much is just about right), because the erection can be quite thick and relaxation is the name of the game for the receiver of attention.
