My experience with the pump is the opposite. The point is that the vacuum created by the pump pulls the blood blow into the penis. If I were to put the ring on beforehand, it would impede the blood flow into the penis. The important thing is to prevent the blood flow from leaking back into the body after becoming erect. Preventing what they call venous leak.

I must say I am impressed Shelly....the pump I use 'feels' like a very strong vacuum. It only takes about 15 seconds from semi-limp to fullness; I let my cock sit in the tube, under vacuum, for another 20-30 seconds to allow the blood to penetrate all the little pockets and crevices inside. I do have to be careful not to over-pump; I have done that and broken some small blood vessels on the outside. A lot of medical grade pumps come with vacuum gauges so as not to overdo, but mine does not. I can tell when it is just enough.

How about getting the ring off? Are you clean shaven?

You can see that the ring has two 'ears'. When it is in place, you remove it by grasping the 'ears', stretching the silicone and sliding it up the penis. At that point, the penis is well-lubed and the ring slides up and off quite easily when stretched.

Although I am not completely clean shaven, I do keep myself trimmed down quite a bit. Too much hair can interfere with the seal against the groin. I use a nose trimmer to keep the grass mowed.
