I'm looking for someone interested in co-authoring a short story or maybe two through PM. My idea is to trade paragraphs or pages, each building on and paving the way to a satisfying conclusion.
I can already hear the chief question being asked: What kind of story do you have in mind?
Fantasy, setting, and roles are open to discussion (I say a bit about this in my biographical sketch). What I really require is someone with an enthusiasm for playing around with ideas and words in a way that we're able to structure a beginning and then, through the course of PM, have the story unfold.
Initial back and forth may be required to hit the sort of sweet spot that allows for us to push past false starts and into story-mode proper (to determine the setting the cast of characters, and so on). But that's to be expected.
You don't need to be a Will Self or a Flaubert. I just ask that you have an idea of a scene you'd like to see play out. I have a few myself, and I am more than happy to share those ideas if one were to make the request.
If co-authorship grabs you, send a PM. If you're curious but have questions, shoot a PM and ask. If you just want to sit and toss around scene ideas and settings, that's okay, too.
I also have thought about posting this in one of the "Author" forums, but the request didn't seem to fit there as well as it does here.
Thanks for reading!
