CNN's attempt to enter the streaming scene has not gone according to plan, with some warning that low subscriptions could lead to layoffs.

On Tuesday, CNN launched their new streaming service, CNN+, with high hopes that it would help the network's tumbling ratings.

The service did not appear to take off as intended, leading some to suggest that CNN+ may merge with Discovery+, which would in turn lead to layoffs.

Speaking on FOX Business, Charlie Gasparino outlined the situation.

He noted that while the technical rollout of the service went off largely without a hitch, "the problem is the subscriptions."

"And one of the big issues is that no one knows exactly how many people have signed up to this despite spending millions of dollars on advertising," said Gasparino.

Discovery+ owns daytime television streaming with their cooking, contest, and home improvement shows. They should have merged from the beginning, the merger would be smart.

I was lucky enough to order a door and have it installed so there was a canopy, but I had to repair it. Called aluminum door repair service, found them on the website. And the entire supply system went out on the roof with a down pipe that goes on top of the garage door.

It is a good point!

At least CNN is legal in most countries.
Fox is banned in the UK due to broadcasting lies and refusing to retract them.

Well, the CNN story is far from straightforward. True, it was deteriorating for the past two decades, sadly. But recently... well, I can only relay what people talk as hasn't paid too much attention (I haven't intentionally watched any kind of television for about last quarter of a century and CNN website haven't impressed me either), so yes, as rumor has it, there's been layoffs of journalists higley respected by their (remained) viewers and a weird pivot to... not quite sure what, but the story is, they have successfully alienated about everyone.

Someone of a conspiracionally mindset could even think someone worked hard to finish the network off intentionally.
