Cloudy update

I'm glad you and yours made it through that catastrophe safely, cloudy.:rose:

Tom.

Thanks.

Welcome back, now go light his dumb ass on fire and see how he likes those smoke signals. ;) :D

You know....I'm just in too damn good a mood to be snarky. ;)

I've been offered a position teaching karate to beginner kids starting this fall, my house isn't damaged beyond repair, my family is safe, and now I have internet...***** is good. :)

Thanks.

Been there felt that after both, Rita and Ike. It's gives you a glimpse of what it would be like without such things as water, electric, gasoline. A bit of a wakeup call.

Anywho, welcome back. :rose:

You're kidding, right? Um...no...I had my cowardly ass in the hallway with the kids and waited for the sirens to stop (and dogs to stop howling)...ever heard a tornado?

Scary.

Ha! Don't blame you.

Haven't had the personal pleasure of a tornado, but got closer than comfort to Isabel.

Florida has pissant tornadoes. I went thru one Halloween 1973. It destroyed a church and some signs and crap befo it hit me. An oak in the front yard fell, and an oak across the street fell. One tree fell north, and one fell south, so the funnel musta passed overhead. A few homes lost porches.

But the experience was scary enough.

Welcome back, Cloudy. Glad you came away relatively unscathed :rose:

Thanks.

Cloudy! Glad you're back. I have'ta ask. How are the dogs? And the kids? Was everyone all there under your watchful eyes?

Yep, they were all here. :)

The tornado sirens started going off around 6 or 6:30 a.m., so kids didn't go to school, and husband came home after a tornado touched down right behind where he was working somewhere around 7:30 am. We spent the best part of the day piled up in the hallway (which is right in the middle of the house), dogs included...we had pillows, books, nintendo ds, etc, to keep us halfway entertained, but it was still a loooooong day. I would be extremely glad to not spend another day like it. It was made even longer once I realized we would be without power for quite some time, and that the fridge and freezer needed to be emptied, trees that were down needed to be cut up (there were three), and the fence straightened up and re-posted.

The carport has to be replaced, but I'm gonna let someone else do that job.
