has anyone ever been to one? boyfriend and i are headed to one now and normally i'm pretty shy but feeling REALLY aroused at the though of my top being off and/or complete nude on the beach ....

It's a blast with a like minded friend to go to one. Especially if you have those exhibitionist genes already. My GF was shy at first and almost had to drag her on to the beach (she was so cute and made us laugh together about it...) - but when men (and ladies..) started checking her/us out - she got excited.

That being said - after a while it does kinda wear off a lil as you get used to it and realize everyone's just on the beach together. Cap d'Agde in France can get pretty intense supposedly (videos out there on it) with folks getting busy - but think it's a big no no everywhere else.

I go to a nude beach pretty regularly. (Sorry, "Clothing Optional", heh.) The first time I went I was invited by a woman and had never been to one before, except for stumbling upon a small, lightly populated one on a vacation when I was young and would never have participated. It took me 2 hours to work up the nerve to strip. Don't make that mistake yourself, I say. When you get there, just go for it and get naked, then enjoy yourself and the freedom of it all.

I've been going to mine for years now and have met many wonderful people from all walks of love that love going nude for various reasons. It's a lovely opportunity to have if you live near one, or just have a chance to visit, and especially to share the experience with someone special.

Have fun!

We know some couples that go to clothing optional beaches all the time.
I haven't figured out how they do it. Most of those places frown on erections. For me....instant boner....no control!

got married on a nude beach. stayed a week. (hedonism II jamaica) no one can stay hard all day. eventually you look people in the eyes while talking to them. you get used to it.

Must take longer than I figured.....
We tried, with our friends. All of us shed our clothes in our back yard, for a 'test run', after they had tried to talk us into going with them.
I sure wasn't looking at anyones eyes! ;) Big tits around.....that's where I'm looking!
One friend, she sure wasn't looking a my eyes either.....and that didn't help my situation a bit!
All the commotion, started by me no doubt... I wasn't the only one who sprang to attention.
At least my wife thought it was funny.

words cannot describe my level of arousal ... both before i was there and when i arrived and now, afterwards .... i will be going back sunday

I wish the UK had more nudist beaches and that I was nearer to one of them

I on my way back now. I hope I don’t chicken out!!

LOL...no offense....but you are so right! After a while attenuation sets in. But it is still exciting to see bare people !

My wife and I have been to nude beaches in SoCal many times.
We've also enjoyed social nudity in other places as well.
We've hiked nude in the desert.

But now that she has various surgery scars, she's less likely to do so.
Her lumpectomy last fall removed her left nipple and I fear that has really affected her.

Whatever it is, do it now, while you're still young.

For whatever it's worth, I was just at my local nude beach on Saturday (National Nude Day!) and encountered a woman with scarring and both nipples removed, enjoying the day along with the rest of us. As far as I was, or anyone else appeared to be concerned, she was no different than any other beachgoer and had no reason to feel any shame. -- In reality, this is not an uncommon sight. I have seen many women in similar situations still going to the nude beach and living their lives and just being who they are. (In fact, I've met many men and women who become nudists BECAUSE of the way they see themselves...) I don't pretend to imagine what your wife is dealing with, but I do hope that one day she feels comfortable going back and revisiting the joys of social nudity, and that she feels free of judgement and better about her body.

All the best.

Me and my partner have often discussed doing this, but not sure if there are many in the UK, and with two children in tow, it wouldn’t be appropriate

I am arroused just thinking of these stories and beaches. I would be in the detection status

HaHa did this at my pool several years ago. We all had been drinking and partying all day and the subject came up. We all got naked and no big deal. A few days laters I told them to come over before the drinking, etc and lets see how that goes. It was different.............one of the gals was a friends wife and damn she turned me on big time. I had to go set down.

I don't know about the UK options, but that depends on how you're approaching it... How old are your children? Are you concerned for their sake, or because of the kind of experience you and your partner want to have? Etc. Of course there are many nude beaches that are family friendly. Others that aren't. Still others that are divided into sections: straight, gay, families, textiles-that-want-to-be-near-the-nudists-but-don't-want-to-participate. Worst case scenario, maybe work it into your plans the next time you both manage a getaway together. :)

Have been to plenty in the UK and they were all pretty friendly. Kids won't have a problem there.

As described above, like thinkers tend to move to different ends of the beach, but naturists don't tolerate stupid behaviour in the UK. Generally the more people on the beach the more averaged out it is. People of every size shape age imaginable and all cool with what they are. The great mental leveler.

Couldn't agree more

The best examples I have are Greece (decades ago) where I spent a good ten minutes chatting with a gorgeous German woman (without once looking below eye level) and a few years ago in Portugal, where a female friend living there took my wife and I to a beach which was exactly as you describe, missswannie. From the car park, onto the beach and keep your gear on. If you want to strip off, just go to the other end. In my experience, these beaches are about freedom, not sex.

Freedom is the right word. There are differences between nude (mandatory) beaches like FKK ones in Europe, and clothing optional or naturist beaches where it is exactly that, the freedom to do what you want. We tend to use the words nude beach and clothing optional beach in the same meaning.
We've had mornings over here at the beach after the kids school drop off where out of all the mums half are nude, some are topless and others are happily in bikinis. Just do what you like

You will eventually learn like I did, that I like to drink alcohol on a beach without clothes. It becomes natural.
