Bobbi's Plants and Garden had been open since 1987, when Bobbi had been younger and Michelle had not yet been born. As the name implied, the store sold plants and gardening supplies. It was one of those down-home kind of shops that would never boom and make someone rich, but would never go out of business because it occupied a rather effective niche.

The part of town the store was in had gone downhill some. The bookstore next door had closed, to be replaced by a pawnshop. Bobbi had a vague idea a few of her customers were marijuana growers. But it didn't matter to her too much--not like she could ask each and every buyer who walked in the door if they were growing potatoes or pot. Bobbi was attached to her store and her chosen profession, and that's the way it would be.

Michelle, her daughter, was now a senior in high school. While she worked at times in her mother's shop, Bobbi knew her daughter simply didn't share her enthusiasm for green growing things. Having a couple house plants was cool, but she just didn't dig being a gardener, no pun intended. She was going to study computer science at the state college about 70 miles away.

Today was one of those days she was helping Mom out. It was getting dark outside, and Bobbi had some extra work that day. "Why don't you go to the burger joint," Bobbi asked her daughter. Michelle nodded; she had been getting hungry herself.

The "burger joint" was a Burger King about half a block down the street. Michelle took twenty bucks and walked toward it...

The thread is open for one or more males who want to introduce Bobbi and/or Michelle to life in the big city. I picture the introduction will be at least somewhat less than romantic and consensual, and perhaps quite forceful--I'm open to all possibilities. You can enter the thread by walking into the plant store (Bobbi) or intercepting Michelle on her way. I'm amenable to splitting the thread up if it turns out mother and daughter have separate destinies. The long-term outcome is up to you--a quick bang, a prolonged session, or a new life for one or both women.

Please no one-line posters.

Tony Synta
26 Caucasian male, short dark hair, brown eyes
6'2'' slight muscular build

The neighborhood had definately changed over the years. People were beginning to find other ways to survive or to support addictions. Tony was the former of the two as times had been tough. He needed to find alternate ways to make some money that somtimes went outside the law. He started by just stealing food from various places. Now he has upgraded to stealing money as it would get him whatever he wanted. He kept it small time for now going after small shops so hopefully there wasn't much of a security system in place.

He had set his sights on another business, this time that garden shop that had been there for a number of years now. It should have enough money about to keep him alive until the next score. He dressed casual so as not to raise any red flags as he moved down the sidewalk. A shirt hung over the waistband of his jeans a bit hiding what could be around his waistband. A pair of sunglasses covered his eyes so hopefully it would make things more difficult for someone to recognize him.

As he approached the shop he noticed the young girl coming out of it. His head tilted forward some so he could see her through the top of his glasses as he ran his eyes over the front of her body. He took in her youthful face and her perky chest. Damn she was definately a sight to see as he smirked moving by her along the street turning to check out the backside as well. He gave a whistle to voice his approval of her as he smirked before continuing to move. He watched a moment to see if she would do anything before he pulled open the door to the garden store and stepped inside. His first job would be to scope the place out before making any sort of move.

Michelle heard the man's whistle, and her head swung back around even as she continued to walk. Looking at him, he didn't appear to be her type, but still she smiled at him in appreciation for the unspoken compliment, then turned her attention back to the path ahead.

When Tony entered the store, the first thing he noticed was the fresh air. Plants of every legal type flourished, fed by skylights as well as fluorescent shop lights. The ceiling of the store was about twenty feet high, and even a few small trees could be seen. Three full racks of seeds, from azaleas to zuccini and damn near everything in-between. And behind the counter was Bobbi, wearing overalls and a faded Burpee Seeds T-shirt. Next to the counter was a rack of magazines, only instead of Penthouse and Low Rider you had Sunset and Better Homes and Gardens.

Bobbi gave Tony a look. He didn't seem to be the usual type...but then again, she wasn't one to judge a book by its cover. The thought he might be in here to rob her store didn't occur to her. Bobbi religiously followed the Urban Shopkeepers' Creed: Thou Shalt Make Thy Bank Drops Early and Often. And she had. Right now there was probably $120 in the register, maybe $130.

"May I help you," she asked Tony in a surprisingly pleasant voice.

Meanwhile, Michelle was approaching Burger King, ducking down a back alley as she did so.

If anyone wants to give Michelle some company, feel free to jump on in. :)

* bump*

I think hfusyntar was a one-post wonder, so I'm restarting this for anyone who is interested.

Tony looked up as he saw the woman addressing him. A smile moved over his face as he acknowledged her. Didn't want to appear rude until he had finished scoping the place out. He left his sunglasses on obviously to hide his identity. He did a quick look around the store before going back to her.

"I was just looking for something for my mother. She didn't explain it very well. Some sort of plant that comes back every year. One of her's died on her window garden."

He was able to keep his cool as he could allow his eyes to roam over her body from behind the glasses. She wasn't that bad on the eyes as her breasts were rather large as he left that charming smile on his features before his head started to move about once more observing the store. So far he didn't see anything and soon enough he would be able to make a move to get behind the register.

It's cool, as long as you can post more than a couple times a week. Welcome back. :)

Okay, and I suppose it would have helped if I'd followed that up with an actual post :slaps self:

"Oh, you're talking about a perennial. A plant that comes back ever year. Yeah, we did have that cold snap last winter. Took out quite a few marginal varieties. Let's go into the nursery and take a look there." She beckoned the man toward the back of the store, to where a row of flowering plants sat under a battery of flourescent shop-lights. She didn't seem to suspect anything about the man was out of the ordinary.

She bent down to pick up a pot full of flowers.

Kyle

Kyle Mahaney
21 Caucasian Male, brown hair, hazel eyes
6'4" Normal Build

Kyle was a new person to the neighbourhood. It wasn't a first class neighbourhood, but it was perfect for him. He grew up suffering a rough childhood, with no attention from his parents, well at least not the kind he knew he should of been getting.

He left home at 16, and started working odd jobs for various people, crashing for the night wherever he could. It might of been stuck living on the streets but he worked hard, and avoided the drugs that were prevelent.

It was that hard work that allowed him to get an apartment, and eventually his job as an electrian. He just moved into the apartment, and was looking for someone to help break in the bed, he found the perfect person walking towards him. "Excuse me, miss. I noticed you worked at the garden center down the street and I was wondering if you could come to my place for a moment and maybe tell me what is wrong with my plants, I'll reward you well."

FYI: Your PMs are disabled, Fizzter.

Was your character approaching Bobbi (the elder) or Michelle (the younger)?

OOC:Michelle, she is the one on the path going to get food right, and I'll go enable my PMs

Michelle looked at Kyle with that kind of astonished look...something like a deer caught in the headlights. She had been thinking about a bgi, juicy cheeseburger and what to pick out for her dorm room when this guy crashed her bubble.

"I--actually I work there, but my Mom knows a lot more about plants than I do. She owns the place." She looked over him. A little rough-cut, but he didn't look like a terrorist or a serial killer or an insurance salesman. "Ah. Plants. Are they turning brown? Not growing like they should? Do you know what species?" Even though she didn't care that much for gardening, she had still soaked up a lot of knowledge, if only osmotically...

Kyle

Kyle glanced over her. She was deftianly hot all right, and she looked to be around the age of a college student. "Come on Miss please can you just come over and look at them for a moment, you have to know more then me about them." He pulled out his wallet, and brought out a 50 dollar bill, and gave it to her. "There is more where that came from if you'll help me."

He then looked at the Burger King that was just up the path. "You were probably just going to lunch weren't you, get something for you and whoever is working with you today. Why don't you come with me there are better places to get food around my place that burger king."

Michelle looked surprised at the fifty-dollar bill. "What are they, some kind of rare species? Actually I'd love to do lunch someplace else, but I'm bringing food back for my Mom, she's hungry too and if I'm late she won't be happy." She looked at the money--it would definitely help the dorm room decoration fund, then back at the man. "Well...long as you live nearby, I can take a quick look, I suppose."

Kyle

Kyle looked at her. "Why don't you go grab something quick for your mom, and meet me back here, in 10-15 minutes alright." He said thinking to himself, it will be much easier when she isn't worried about getting back to work. He took the 50 back. "And just to make sure you come back I'll keep this until you get back." He then looked at a bench. "The names Kyle, and I'll be sitting on that bench waiting."

Michelle went in, and was out in a few minutes. "They were all out of chicken sandwiches, and that's all my Mom will eat. She'll have to find something else. I don't want to stay too long or she'll get worried, but I have time to look at your plants now."

Kyle

Kyle thought to himself well I hope your mom forgets you went to get lunch, or else shes going to be really worried. "Alright then follow me. What's your name anyway miss, you look like your a college student." He said as he led her over to his place, which was a few minutes away. "There is a place around my place that just sells chicken sandwiches if you want to look at the plants and then get your mom lunch, and then come back with the supplies you need." He said as he remembered the 50. "Here you go again, I almost forgot."

"Thanks," Michelle said. The though occured to her, as he approached the building he lived in, that the man was a pot-grower. If so, she would have to give him his money back and excuse herself. She wasn't into that. She followed him as he came up to the building, wondering what plants he was so concerned about.

Kyle led her up to his apartment, before he turned around and looked at her. "You probably think I grow pot don't you. Well I don't I might have had a rough childhood, and spent the past few years on the street, but drugs aren't me." He unlocked the door, and entered, leading her to the plants he were concerned about, they had a bug of some sort. "Think you can get rid of the pest that is on them." He said before turning back to her. "Come on tell me your name, I want to tell the boss of the garden store how good of a help you are."

"Well..." Michelle looked sheepish. "The thought had crossed my mind. No offense...but Mom and I know some of the people coming into the store aren't raising sunflowers or tulips. Long as they don't mention what they're using stuff for though, we don't do anything about it." She looked at the plants. "Do you leave your windows open?"

Michelle smiled at his asking her name. "It's Michelle. And yours?"

"The names Kyle." He looked at the window the plants were by. "I open it once in a while, when I need to get some air moving through the place. There is something you can do right, I'm taking care of these for a friend while she is on her honeymoon." He glanced at her once more. "You know Michelle, I would love to take you to lunch today, after you take lunch back to your mom, there is a resturant down the road that's alright, unless you want to get take out and enjoy a beer with me, that is if you drink."

"Well, I can't buy a drink...I'm only 18," Michelle said sheepishly. "I start college next year. Now for you plants...a little Sevin dust should take care of these bugs. Amazing how the little shits manage to come in through the window. These look like aphids, and they can even get through most standard window screens. All it takes is a couple...they breed like rabbits, only worse." She grinned at him. "Now that was easy now, wasn't it?"

Kyle hands Michelle a 100 dollar bill. "Now Michelle why don't you buy your mom a chicken sandwich from next door, and take it back, and buy me some of the sevin dust, I'll order us some pizza for lunch, it should be ready for when you get back, and you can come enjoy a nice cold one with me."

Michelle looked wide-eued at the money. "That--I couldn't take that. Fifty is plenty, Kyle. Why don't you show me the place next door, and I'll get something for my mom there." She looked around the room, then out the window at the street below.

Kyle didn't take the money back. "Keep it Michelle, you need it so you can buy me the dust anyway." He walked out the door, and led her to the resturant next door, and waited as Michelle ordered a chicken sandwich for her mom. "After you take that back to your mom you are coming back with the dust and for pizza and drinks, right Michelle." He said looking at her.

"Yes, I'll bring back your dust, and eat your pizza," the girl said, giving him a wink as she headed for the door. "I'll be back in about half an hour." With that, Michelle ducked out the door.
