Yep, that's about the gist of it! And one of the reasons I've been a lurker(as I heard someone call us ) for so long. I was afraid of someone from my area putting everything together and the possibility that the career I've worked so long and hard for would be pulled out from under me. And the funny thing is the person who put it all together would probably not face any kind of repurcussions.

Last semester I almost turned one of my stories into my English Prof. My husband was reading it and I brought a paper in for him to proofread. When I picked it back up the story was under it.
