If you think about it, you could be describing all of us as well as yourself. Don't you see that everyone has different interests and desires. Just because they don't happen to match your own doesn't mean they are wrong (or selfish) does it? (I'm sure that he could say the same about you - selfish, didn't want to experiment, etc.) Anyway, that's what the "getting to know you phase" was all about. It just didn't work out, no reason to be angry. Keep trying, you'll meet the right person.
