Siobhan didn't usually travel alone her green eyes flashed as she heard the wind amp up around her. This time she had a private bit of business that she had attended to. She listened to the night before continuing. This particular night was darker than it should have been, something was off but she didn't know what.
The forest was usually one of her favorite places. The chill wind cut through her cloak and inched down her skin. It shouldn't be that cold right now either. Even though her personal family business was concluded successfully she was beginning to thing this trip had been a mistake. She was close to her current home base but still far enough away that she couldn't raise an alarm if she wanted or needed to.
Her long curly red hair blew into her face with another gust of the cold night. Impatiently she pulled it back out of the way. She began to hum to herself, while pulling out a small dagger that gave her a little magical light.
Being a worshiper of Ki she wondered why the woods seemed so eerie to her tonight, so unnaturally dark too.
She stopped where she was. It was only getting worse. Resheathing her dagger, she tried a spell the lime the woods with a bit of light instead. That was when she truly became scared. The spells energies were sucked away from her by some sort of vacuum the darkness continued. It is rare to find true darkness anywhere outside of a cave but this came close. It came uncomfortably close. The question was who was doing it or more likely, what.
Most things come after you when you move. They are attracted to the movement, it's instinctual. With this in mind she made herself very still blending into one of the shadows that this night provided. Fighting the chill to stay quiet now. Time could heal this. Day could only be a few hours away.
