I know this is in the library but I would like an up to date view point from those that have it. I would like my sub to get one, but will not force it. A couple of questions:

Does it hurt badly?

How long does it take to heal?

Does it make the area that much more sensitive?

Any other thoughts on it?

Thanks,
tr

I have a vertical hood piercing with a curved barbell in it currently. The ball hits the clit if its rubbed so yes can be arousing. I have heard of a few folks who have lost sensitivity due to the piercing but think that may be more dependent upon the persons anatomy (which also determines vertical versus horizontal piercing) and the skill of the piercer. Did it hurt? Well pain is relative (coming from a pain slut soo) but having 17 piercings total, I can say it really didn't hurt any more than nose or nipple (since those are thicker/cartilage whereas the hood isn't). Healwise - technically more dependent on the person's health status but usually averages 8 weeks. Most folks "play" regardless of the heal status and do just fine - there is lots of blood flow to the area so it tends to heal quick.

Out of all the piercings, hood and nipples have the best benefits/functions to them. Added bonus is they are quite lovely to look at and if you put in a ring (versus barbell), you can attach things to it. Just my 2cps. :)

My horizontal clit hood ring was the first piercing I ever got. Coming from a pain perspective I would say its right in the middle (including all my subsequent piercings).

and yes it can be very enjoyable.

Master's wanted me to get my clit pierced for a while but I'm still a bit nervous. It's supposed to be fairly safe but imagine if the piercer screwed it up. Do you REALLY want anything to go wrong THERE of all places? So don't try to get a bargain on this one. Find the best shop you possibly can and pay whatever is asked. The extra dollars are worth the comfort.

Actually me and K discussed a clit piercing at one point, but I've heard that their's also a small chance of scar tissue. So we decided not to, cause like you said of all the places you DON'T want things to go wrong . . .

I thought of one word when I read this: OUCH.

But if you do get it, check the place out, make sure it is clean, ask about hygiene, and stuff. We have enough problems there, you don't need another.

A. It is so easy to get infections without open wounds..
B. Wounds in the vaginal region take A LONG TIME to heal
C. It is your body.. that goes with out saying.. but make sure it is what you want. I have seen a lot of botched piercings with even more regret..
Good Luck:rose:

thats actually not really true- the clit HOOD piercing is one of the fastest healing piercings there is, along with inner labia peircings. the skin down there heals really easily for some reason. i have my clit hood pierced and have had it for about four years now. i had no complications, it was mostly healed in ten days, and totally healed a few weeks later-i was careful with it and used antibacterial soap while it was healing, and its been fine ever since.

they can add a LOT of sensation-i love mine and dont ever want to take it out..it just makes things more ..shall we say, intense, and it also makes it easier for me to get off. i'd never get an actual clit piercing but thats just me-to each their own. but there is no risk of loss of sensation with a HOOD piercing because you arent piercing the actual clit, just a bit of skin that covers it.
