Would that be good or bad for the dems? I need to think on it, I never even considered to possibility.

Still don't give it much of a chance.

Are the Clintons done with politics? Cus that's all that an independed run would accomplish would be ending their political careers. They wouldn't be ablt to go home, specially not if they lost. If they won there is a chance they could get invited back into the fold, but if they lost, and especially if her running was perceived as the reason that McCain wins. . . it's a pretty big risk to take.

More like testing the waters for an independent run.

I don't think so. An independent bid would let McCain into the White House virtually uncontested.

There is, I suppose, a chance she dislikes Obama enough to do just that. If so she hides it well.

Obama had better triple his SS detail on her, should she be his VP and they win.

:D

Just a thought.

Right now, as we speak, she is the most powerful female politician in America and maybe everywhere else. It may be worth a roll of the dice.

Not arguing that it may be worth the chance. I've yet to see a straw poll with all three of them running. I'm just saying that this isn't the kind of thing you get to come home from. If she does this there is no turning back, especially not if McCain wins which seems to be the most likely outcome.

She'll stay in the game until the June/July surprise that is buzzing in the background that will seal BHO's doom.

She may not have the financial resources anyway. However, I think she may lose support if she goes with Obama. Her support stems to a large degree from her feisty nature and the belief she will stick it out to the end. A lot of her supporters have already said they will vote for McCain if Obama gets the nomination. There may have already been enough damage done to her supporters by the Obama campaign.

I wonder how many of them are bluffing though. And how many woudl shut up if their "leader" fell in step. Stilll point taken.

What a whore.

Obam would be certifiably nuts if he put her on the ticket. On the one hand, it would probably make the Dems unbeatable. All kissy face and forgiveness.

But once he won the White House she would be so busy upstaging him at every turn, I doubt he would have a chance to govern.

She would make Cheney look like a shrinking violet. Not to mention that Mr. Bill would never have any trouble drumming up attendees at a press conference if he wanted to chime in about whatever momentary tiff the Pres and the Veep might be having at some future point in time.

Being President would be tough enough without having your Veep trying to steel a little bit of your job away every day.

I agree that he would need to be a fool. But since that's my opinion of him anyway...

My daughter and I were talking about this tonight...it could be very much in either direction...but we both said the same thing - a black pres, not a problem, but not this particular inexperienced man. A woman pres? same thing...not this woman - too vindictive, mean, just not likable...THAT dual ticket would be either unbeatable or a complete washout...is America ready for that kind of change? A black president with a woman Veep? I'm not saying it from a racist or misogynist point of view, neither is me in any way. But I have lived in this country too long to not see it as an issue...I don't think the country is ready for it...I would love to see the US of A become that color-blind and that gender-blind. But I don't think it is, for quite a while to come.

I wonder if either can beat McCain.

Personally, I don't think so. But a LOT will happen between now and then. On both sides.
