So my roommate and I got home from work (separately, a few minutes apart) and I was chillaxin on the 'puter and remembered Luna's kids were coming over to spend the night tonight.

THE HOUSE WAS A MESS!!!!!

So I went out to the car and got my CD's, because of course you need good music to clean to, and started cleaning. The bathroom was nasty. Not because there was like feces on the floor or anything, but because me and roomie both have long hair and I think he sheds more than I do. I have a little hand broom and dustpan and I was on my hands and knees sweeping up hair.... *euuuuck.....* It doesn't seem to matter that I once cleaned hotel rooms for a living...I hadn't been on my hands and knees in a bathroom lately (GET YOUR MIND OUT OF THE GUTTER!) and so I was grossed out. Not to mention, our toilet is all screwed up because it's not anchored to the ground. Don't ask me which genius left it that way. We've had maintenance in here more than twice and they still can't get it through their heads that we'd like a toilet that maybe doesn't tip over every time you lean over the wrong way.

My roomie (D) did the kitchen and I was oh so grateful, because it was a crusty mess too. :D

OK OK it wasn't REALLY a crusty mess, but it was pretty abandoned. I saw tumbleweeds. I swear. I think the dishes were crying and the microwave looked forlorn.

D. took out the garbage which included Xmas boxes, wrapping paper, etc. and did dishes and picked up shit (not literal) from the living room.

I am NOT looking forward to cleaning my room. I think it's the worst disaster area in the whole place. Clothes all helter skelter, cups, boxes of knick knacks, just crap scattered everywhere....

Jesus H. Christ

So who wants to share a detailed experience of their life at this moment? :p

Do you wanna come and clean my house next?

Detailed experience of my life ... right now? After lying in bed half the night listening to a cat, the dog and my partner snoring in varying volumes, intensities and patterns ... I have finally given up, put on a pot of coffee and ventured down to my basement office. As I made my way downstairs, I noticed that there are mugs stacked in the sink, a coffee ring on the stove, in the dining room one of the cats has knocked over the box of reclyclable christmas paper and strewn it around the floor, the living room is in need of a sweep and there are residual doggie paw prints by the front door - next to the mat that the dog refuses to sit on while we wipe her down after a romp in the mud/snow. I've managed to ignore all of this ... my reasoning is that if not for the snoring keeping me awake, I wouldn't be aware of it, so I'll deal with it later --- or my partner will, in atonement for the night of a thousands snores.

Oh, I'll clean. Do you have bleach and are we paying me? :D

I'm assuming that undying gratitude and sincere appreciation isn't going to pay the bills ...

I just realized how busy today is going to be, so I might put off doing my room until 1:45 or 2, and throw everything in boxes until tomorrow, just so it looks better than it does now. Then tomorrow I swear by the Cleaning Gods I will go through everything and make it all pretty happy shiny smell-good.

:D :D :D

Well, right now? I just finishd unpacking all the stuff I just bought in town. potatoes, parsnips, sweet potatoes and butternut squash in the veg holder, frozen bits in the freezer, chocolate biscuits in the daughter and the clementines in the fruit basket.

I've just peeled a clementine and put on my computer with the intent to write...came here instead. So right now I'm procrastinating :p

Clementine anyone?

since i have no idea what a clementine is I'll pass.......

Last of the house guests leaving shortly...... :nana:

Then I get to clean up... or maybe I'll just open both doors and get the leaf blower out.....

Clementines are yummy!

My life at the moment? After taking the dog out and standing in the pouring rain while he peed (yay) I came in and looked at the kitchen. Since we're in the middle of packing everything up, it's a disaster. Boxes, trash bags, stuff all over the counters, etc.

I decided fuck it and made coffee instead.

After a night of emotional distress, shots being fired in the back yard, being trampled by a couple of cats playing, and a few other wonderful things i deserve the caffeine before tackling it.

It's kind of nice knowing I'm not the only nuts one at such an early hour of the day.

Well, first of all Tx, clementines are delicious...sort of like a mini tangerine, but with a slightly different taste. :rose:

I have decided to put off cleaning my room until this afternoon, when I'll have approximately an hour to make my space habitable for a couple of wild girls. Okay so now I'm dressed in a pair of jeans, a wife beater, and my zip up hoodie...I'm about ready to go to Walmart and the mall....

:nana:

Well, I was up at 1.30 mildly delirious from a combo of sinus medication and fever, blogging. Then I got up at five to remind the kids that if it was dark out it was still night and GO BACK TO SLEEP! Then th ehubby got up at 6.30 and made breakfast and took care of the rugrats while I slept in. I've been up for a few hours now, and I feel better- better than I have in months. I actually slept great, despite the waking up and wandering, and i woke up able to breathe (mostly) and not in pain, which hasn't happened in a good three months.

Today I finish my Marketing Overview and take the final plunge of submitting to Phaze. I'm excited, scared, proud of myself and kind of embarrassed it's taken so long to do this. I've got my fingers crossed and candles burning and I'm praying that this is the first step on a brand new road. Either way, I've committed myself to actively working towards being a published author under this shiny new name.

Regardless of all that, I'm still FtF, the squishy flutterbug, and I love the Lit crew  You guys have become an extended network of family and friends, and I'm glad I found my way here all those years ago.

Life at the moment?
Sheesh should I be writing a damned book?

Got home from work and helped the wife clean up the mess the "Herd" made while we were one. We also put away the shopping. (Damn but I need to get a Deep Freeze. We picked up ten, that's right ten Cornish Game Hens because the local Grocery has them on sale at $2.50 each. We intend to pick up some more tomorrow if I can figure out a way to jam them into the freezer.)

Cleaned out three Litter Boxes.

Logged on while the grill was warming fo dinner, (Bratwurst) and answered roughly a dozen E-Mails.

Cooked dinner. Ate dinner while fending off the Herd.

Started cutting the rug in the living room.

Logged back on and am now surfing the web while thinking about cutting more sections out of the living room rug. (As well as thinking about picking up a lapdesk and running a phone line in the living room so I can sit in front of the tube with my wife and still be able to surf the web.)
