Hi!

I recently got a vibrator, and am not sure what to do in the way of cleaning it. It is not waterproof, so I know I have to take the battery out. Is it okay to simply rinse it with water, or is it okay to use soap? I didn't get any instructions on how to clean it other than to not totally immerse it in water. Oh, and it is a plastic one, if that makes a difference in how to clean it :)

Thanks! :)

Use a soapy washcloth, much the same as you would to clean your toaster or othe kitchen apliance with a similar warning about immersion.

Since it's plastic, you don't wnat to use any solvents that might disolve it. There's nothing sadder than a flacid dildo.. <G>

There are products that are available at the adult toy stores or on-line that are designed specifically for cleaning different types of vibes. They have catchy names like "Vibro-Kleen", and such. Sometimes soap can leave a residue, and if you have sensitive skin, watch out.

Another option is to use a condom over your vibrator. No muss, no fuss.

The wet cloth with soap. Some women use a certain soap that doesn’t irritate their vagina, that’s the soap i think I’d use. But going forward try looking for waterproof toys. I bought my wife a vibrator that plugs into the wall as a joke once. But the head pops off for cleaning. We use dawn dish soap.
