Hi everyone.

I hope I don't sound like the typical new person on here, though I've been meaning to make an account for a while...but I have a few questions before I upload my first entry into the vast library of erotic literature this fine site has to offer. :D

I've been writing for years now...and it didn't even occur to me to write a literotica until this past week when, after a run-in during a house search and a conversation with a friend to alter said run-in, that I should write an adult work. I've written adult works before, but they were always for the books that I have written for myself in my spare time and for those around me who have enjoyed my works, non-fiction or otherwise.
It consists of real representations of me and the people involved, but events that have been altered and reconfigured to make it erotic. It contains no taboo, unrealistic, or fetishes of any extreme nature. It contains a MILF, anal, and lots of other explicit acts which you would welcome ;) That's about as good a detailed report on it without saying anything about its actual story.

So, being unsure of this, and generally unsure of how the site works other than the basic viewing features, I would like to ask you if you would be inclined to tell me how exactly the stories get classified into their groups that they are divided in. Being the "How To..." forum, I figured this the best place to ask. Are they classified before entry or are they classified by editors?

Like I said, I'm sure you've seen this a myriad of times before, and I apologize for my repetition of this, but I'm about two pages away from the end of this one and it might turn into a series depending on the feedback I get on it.

Thanks ahead of time,
Luke (a.k.a. Shadowmethod)

Figure out the main focus of the story. Is it male/female, lesbian, anal, a wife having sex with someone(s) else (loving wives), group sex...?

If you're having trouble, read over the descriptions of the categories, those of the stories within your potential categories, and maybe some stories within those categories.

Then, (hopefully after you've gone through a self- and peer-editing process; a volunteer editor and beta readers can also help you decide on a category after reading the story) when you are submitting your story, pick the most appropriate category. If the Lit Editors disagree when they're reading the story for approval, they'll change it before posting it.

While we do answer questions on everything here, you might consider referring writing-specific questions to the Author's Hangout forum in the future. The regulars there are very knowledgeable about stuff like this. :)

Thanks you. :)
I guess after looking at them a bit, I'm guessing it'd come across as "Erotic Coupling" but I'll see where it goes. I just did a word check and it's nearly 7000 words....and the series idea will push it a lot further depending on how it goes.

I do a lot of self-review myself....I've read it over about 10 times thus far and I've probably got a few pages left to write. With how much I read and write myself, I'd say it's well written by my standards (which my literature teachers and professors loved me for).

Once again, thanks for the help. I'm gonna finish up the erotic scene and create an ending that will allow it to create continuations.
