Bill Cosby was a great tv dad, wish mine acted more like him, less like Ming the Merciless, a bad tv dad (I think, Flash Gordon was a tv show right? )

Yup. Mine too - His "show" name was Steve Douglas, if I remember.

William Frauley as "Bub?" the grandfather, was good, also. I preferred him over William Demerest, "Uncle Charlie" who replaced Frauley after his death.

I love the show and laugh like a fool.

Some scenes from my childhood stay with me when he shows a soft sice.

But, would a racist commie hater like Archie Bunker be able to make it in network tv now?
