No good music groups came out of the 80s. It took Nirvana and grunge alt to save us from the 80s. Even the 70s great prog groups suffered during this time.

I was a dark time for rock and roll.

They'll be disappointed.

REM is considered classic alternative. I am glad you threw it in.
