Lance Armstrong won his seventh straight Tour de France. No one else has ever won more than five and they all rode until they got beat.

Lance Armstrong told the world that this Tour de France would be his last and he then won by beating the best in the world in an individual time trail on the penultimate day of the race.

A news item for the ages, even if you are not into sports. A truly class act!

Agreed. Awesome Guy. Watched him destroy the opposition up the mountain to Chorcheval (?) just amazing. Imagine riding in a saddle after testicular cancer! Then winning 7 in a row of the worlds toughest race. 21 days racing over 3000 km.

We were happy he won it again. And to be able to retire with that type of record? What an accomplishment!
