Well, I dunno... neither Thomas nor Kennedy are shining beacons of good example, I'd say.

Kennedy? Screwed up bigtime, and then tried to cover it up. I have such mixed opinions about him and his family. However... regardless of their motivation, they at least have a social conscience, which they have put to use politically. Their biggest flaw is that they feel they are above judgment.

Thomas? He makes my skin crawl. I believed Anita Hill, and was appalled that she was discredited by the media. Thomas, given the allegations of impropriety, should have withdrawn his name from the nomination. Not only that, but he was not even remotely qualified to be named to the Supreme Court. Btw, if you've read any biography about him, he was not exactly a disadvantaged poor ghetto child.

Moral expectations for a conservative are undoubtably high lest the charge of hypocrite be leveled.

The Democrat, on the other hand, is only held to the morals and values of his/her constituency...

I don't even believe Annita Hill when she says her name is Annita Hill. The left coined the term "Borked" It is their game plan and the way they do things. The left will destory anyone that they dislike. See how they overlooked Kennedy and Clinton. why is it that conservatives always claim the inside track of morality? compared to you, SIN, i'm a liberal but i have a child and i worry about rampant degradation of family values and the lack of discipline of teenagers and their sexual appetites

i'm pleased to see the new wave of PG action movies aimed at families and offended by the lack of values portrayed on network television...why do you think you're more moral than me?

clinton got a free pass by the press? now clinton was a sleaze and gets no respect from me, but the press ate him alive for years

and i'd say the right had a pretty solid game plan in regards to clinton, same as the left went after thomas and nixon...it's the modern way of politics to dig trash on the other guys
