Then in 1992 came the EG (or 5th gen) Civic's which would run till 95'.

The EG is a little bigger and a couple hundo heavier but it's an even easier swap ready chassis than the EF (or 4th Gen ) CRX.

After this Honda made the K series engine which is amazing but it went into a bunch of shit cars that have sucked worse and worse every year since 2000.

Early CVCC's (called "Civic's") were where it REALLY started. Waaaay back in the stone ages of 1972.
