Lance Viera is a 18 year old male and a senior who didn't have friends, but it wasn't because he didn't want to it was really because he was just quiet and weird. He had gotten into fights only because he was targeted as an easy mark for bullies since freshman year, but after awhile he knew how to defend himself. After losing his parents to a car accident he was given pity, and shown sympathy by the principal although one day he had started the fight because of what the bullies said. After that he got suspended for a week and now having to stay at home in a house where he was reminded of how alone he was he needed to escape.

The male had gone out and bought a videogame system that would send the game into a virtual world through headset and a couple of pieces of body equipment. He had the money and the time for now to go enjoy a videogame and get away from the real world. Once he was home and all set up wearing the chest piece, gloves, boots, and helmet gear he was ready to go into the world that was called "Bastion".

Making his character was easy since it made his avatar look like him as he selected to be an elf class with bow and sword skills for combat. He wore the common outfit he was given in the game which was simple black boots, gloves and wearing brown slim pants along with a forest green silk shirt with a few pieces of armor on his shoulders, knees, elbow's, and chest. His hair was black and long reaching down to his back as he had red arrow marks on his cheeks once he was done he was teleported to the game's large City of Bastion. It was the home base where everyone started in and it was bustling with all manner of creatures as he was amazed how real it looked as Lance looked around at the different shops.

"Wow! So this is Bastion the videogame!"

He exclaimed out loud to himself as Lance chuckled softly as he found himself fitting at home since most of these characters he could see in the real world. It was no surprise to him to see them here too, but this world looked perfect and beautiful. Wondering where to start as he started walking through the crowds of avatars walking around as his green hues stared at everything soaking it all in. Even the smell of the food smelled real good as his eyes wandered over towards a nice looking fountain made of marble and crystal statues with months opened as streams of water came out of them. Slowly walking over towards it and sitting on the edge as the sun shined overhead while he thought of what to do first. Perhaps go find some monsters in the outskirts of this city and fight them just to see how the combat works as the males green hues looked around seeing the uniquely made characters walk around.

Erica Newman was a single girl in high school. Her parents and older brother were in the military and stationed abroad. Today was a test day since she had decided to do online high school 10th thru 12th grades.

She was a December baby so turned 19 during her senior school year. The best part of her program Erica could work at her own pace and as it was she was five weeks ahead of her class. Erica's online instructor decided to give Erica a break from the classes for a month.

That was perfect news as Erica had been hearing reviews about a new in world game. Erica was nt wanting to be more of a geek to her classmates. Erica checked about the game and and reviews by people that already have it.

Specs and compatibility were reliable. She read everything she could to learn how to play the game. Equipment required, Erica groaned. new game console and headset

"Damnit there goes my savings again." Erica grumbled

Two hours later she was at Game Stop obtaining the equipment she needs to play the game. Erica estimates she would be home in thirty minutes and an hour to install and upload the game and she would be set.
~~~~~~~~~
It took longer then an hour for the set-up to finish But well worth the wait.
Erica put on the gear and headpiece looked in her floor length mirror and smiled. "This is gonna be a blast."
So Ericaopened the file and proceeded to create her character. Erica decided to go with a half elf. The class was what was her hardest part of the game. Erica opted the no class status which allowed her to explore what she would want to choose after 100 hours of game time
The cons about playing this way. Erica has nothing to start with
No equipment, no money, no weapons, no food. Of course she could join a guild or hunting party to gain possessions and experience.
Checking out the first city she comes to with basic clothing and knowledge. There was so much to see and do it was like visiting an Arthurian world twice the size of New York City
Erica spoke to everyone she met awhile browsing thru the city.
One merchant told her about the town board. Explaining how it worked and how she could earn some silver in the process.
"Well I guess I gotta start somewhere. " Erica mumbled to herself
Erica did manage to find the help wanted board. There was several jobs inside the city and some outside. Erica did a few jobs in the city mainly delivering something to someone on the other side of the city. Finally she was taking on jobs outside of the city but first she needed a weapon.
Lance had figured he would do something now and enjoy a little of what the game had to offer alone for now since he wasn't sure if he wanted to bother anyone else being a new player and all. Standing up slowly he stretched his arms and sighed softly as the young male elf wandered out into the crowd once more. It was then that he stumbled a bit after having bumped into another person whom he at first thought was an NPC, but when he stared at the young half elf with his green hues he saw that she wasn't reacting like a normal NPC. It took him a second it was an actual player and he bowed his head slowly apologizing for bumping into her as Lance chuckled a bit with a nervous tone to his voice when he spoke.
"S-sorry about that I should've watched where I was going and to be honest I thought you were an NPC. My name is Lance Viera I'm an elf although I'm s-sure you noticed, and I see your one too."
He stated as he pointed to her ears before tilting his head to the left slightly as the look of curiosity came across his facial features. Wondering if asking this girl to see if she would like to party up and go adventuring together as the male elf slowly extended his arm it forward with his left hand open in a friendly greeting way before speaking again.
"You wouldn't happen to...I mean if your not busy perhaps we can go and enjoy the game together? S-since I'm new here and everything also wouldn't mind having someone tag along figure it would make things more interesting?"
Erica smiled politely offering her hand. '' hi, pleased to meet you. I'm Erica Newman. Actually i'm a half elf."
Erica thought about the idea of a partner was a smart move and she did notice his clothes and weapon
"Sure since we both are beginners it should be lots of fun. We can explore where ever we can go and who knows what kind of goodies we can get." Erica shook his hand properly with a bright smile.
