first of all, understand that i love cicadas. i love all insects but i especially love 17 year swarming ones.
so, i live in an area where they're supposed to be partying. so far, i've seen one fucking bug. i haven't heard them singing. today i finally went to have my hair cut and one of the women in the chop had pictures on her phone of the tree in her yard literally dripping with them.
where are my cicadas? it isn't fair!
i was crawling under some bushes down the street (don't ask) and i saw MANY holes where they had emerged but no bugs. i feel like i'm cursed.
