We have recieved a special invitation to check out the CHYOO site. There, you will find interactive stories written by many authors. However, it is an under used resource, at best.

Switch76 has asked me to make more posters aware of the site and to invite you all to check it out.

So, check out www.chyoo.com and this message board post explaining about Chyoo and its guidelines
https://forum.literotica.com/...&threadid=42949.

If you are not interested in chyoo, perhaps you could make some suggestions to help the posters/authors engage more people.

Thanks,

MissT

I got that PM too. I wasn't going to say anything about it. YMMV.

What's YMMV?

I wouldn't mind helping to jump start the site. They have been struggling for a bit.

I have looked in, but as everyone knows, I am not much of a creative writer.

:)

Your Mileage May Vary.

It felt kind of like spam to me. It's not the first time recently I've been begged to advertise Chyoo.

Etoile, I'm sorry you feel that way. The Chyoo section is a part of Literotica. Things like your Literotica password and username also work on Chyoo.

I genuinely thought people might like it and since it's part of this site couldn't be classed as spam.

Sorry if it annoyed you.

Chyoo seems like a bastard child to me stuck on the end. I've never found anything interesting there the few times I have looked. Plus the name "Chyoo" I find disturbing in some way. Maybe I just don't understand the concept.

This thing is too complicated for me. I started reading the guidelines and got to the part about editors "accepting or not accepting" what one writes. That shut me off immediately.

I have already encountered enough cliquishness in the poetry department of Lit. This chyoo thing smacks of more of that to me. I'm not part of the "right crowd" anywhere, I guess. And I'm sure it would be no different in the world of Chyoo.

I wasn't all that annoyed, really.

I know Chyoo is a part of Lit, I've been there before. I never got into it, I guess. The feeling of spam was more because it felt like you were begging for attention for Chyoo. As I said, you're not the first person to mention Chyoo to me, recently. There seems to be a campaign of late to get more attention for it. If the owners of Lit/Chyoo don't want to devote more attention to it, I'm sorry. But there's no reason you can't post a thread on Lit yourself rather than sending PMs to people about it. (I also get the feeling that you, like the original person who contacted me about it, sent PMs only to moderators. alexandraaah even made a sticky with it over in How To. Why are mods the main targets?)

Which again, supports my opinion that Chyoo is another clique of and for "certain and select" writers.

switch76 sent me a very nice PM.

I am willing to be proven wrong.

Anyone up to writing a story with me? Let me know if you are. I think it could be fun.

I suspect that, since the stories are often 2nd person POV, the name Chyoo is derived from "choose" as in the Choose Your Own Adventure series of kids books. Here it's the same thing, just for adults.

Personally I've enjoyed many of the stories. Haven't posted to any though.

Chyoo stands for:

CHoose
Your
Own
Orgasm or Orifice or Opening or anything else beginning with O.

I am only a mediocre writer, but would be willing to read your story!
