Chyoo advice and discussion

I am not quite sure if this is the right category to post this thread, but here goes -

I am working on a chyoo story titled Spending the night, and I just wanted to start a thread where people could discuss ideas about chyoo that they've had, or formats that have worked well for them.

I am trying to make a story that is pretty heavily decision based, instead of choosing which random acts occur.

Also how much do people use the linking threads tool?

I'm so glad you asked first. I was scared I was going to have to hide my ignorance and try and figure it out from the discussion.... ("Ah, yes...Chyoo stories. Tricky things, those." Puffing on pipe. "Tried to write one myself back in the summer of '94....")

Actually, having taken a look, it appears to be one of those stories where the reader gets to pick where they (the main character) gets to go next. You walk in--then you get a choice--go upstairs or around back. If you go upstairs, something happens, and then you get another choice.

I think the Story Ideas section would be of more help with this story than Author's Hangout.
