just one of the pastors:
Pastor Dillon Awes of the same church said last year that “the solution for the homosexual” is murder.

“What does God say is the answer, is the solution, for the homosexual in 2022, here in the New Testament, here in the Book of Romans?” Awes asked. “That they are worthy of death! These people should be put to death!”

“Every single homosexual in our country should be charged with the crime, the abomination of homosexuality, that they have,” he continued. “They should be convicted in a lawful trial. They should be sentenced with death.”

now i'm not defending the death threats against the congregation, preachers or property-damage as threatened via social media, but why is it ok for them to spout the hatred? it isn't. nor should they show surprise when their own hatred spawns more as a backlash.

Since msn is a Microsoft aggregate site with no indication of what other site originally posted the article without clicking the link, here is another article, by a gay Christian:

every condemnation of homosexuality in Scripture is tied to “idolatry”, which means worshipping something other than God, and in context is clearly a condemnation of temple prostitution, a practice where people who have sex with priests or priestesses in pagan temples as a way to honor various gods and goddesses.
By that interpretation, those fucking pagans should be executed, not the gays.

Batshit fundies may have more than average suicidal tendencies. Threatening to turn them gay, or out them as gay, would be more amusing.

Tis Christian to go "eye for eye" in such exchanges, no?? Not to get all Biblical.
It is God's Book though. That is until you get to the New Testament when God's tone changes.

Jesus? Was he crazy when he suggested "turning the other cheek"? Was Jesus a masochist??
Perhaps, but it worked for Gandhi.

Why can't "CHRISTIANS," who uphold Jesus as a (part of) God, follow his word?
There really aren't that many actual statements by Jesus to follow in the Bible, and NONE from him about homosexuality!
Would Jesus approve of the "churches" ?

Just ONE statement would make the whole world better. "Do unto others as you would have done unto you"
THE GOLDEN RULE.

I was raised in a religion with Baptist origins, which I didn't know for some decades. I could attend a Baptist church sermon for historic curiosity. I have an impression it would be louder and more exciting than the boring sermons I remember.

Romans 1:32 says that folks like Pastor Awes are worthy of death.

I have had dinner in the company of christians and the company of a bunch of "homo's". I much prefer the conversations of the homos. And they like me because I do not judge them... and I brought two women as my dates.
