Church of Scientology storefront in Pomona

I drove by a Church of Scientology in a strip mall in Pomona yesterday. I didn't realize there were large numbers of adherents in a place like that. In Hollywood or Santa Monica, etc, I would expect it. Wierd.

I think its good they are taking Scientology to the ordinary people. They have gotten about all the publicity they can get from celebs now. They need to build their base among the common man and the working class to ensure the longterm survival of the Church.

I used to have a downtown apartment, and there was a Scientology center nearby. Every month or so they would put flyers on all the parked cars, and the flyers would end up in the gutters. I'd pick some of them up and dump them on the receptionist's desk.

I'm thinking about joining Scientology. My life is kind of empty at the moment.

Would anyone recommend it?
